I have tried to replicate the original finish on the boot floor.

The exhaust has to be changed. This back box is now seeing service in my everyday 205 Diesel which I have purchased with a genuine 38000 miles, 2 owners and full service history from new. More about that in a separate thread later.

Bloody hell that's nice! 8)  Really really nice!

Great to see the 205 getting the treatment a good one deserves! full credit to you for being so thorough! If only theyd got to grips with the rustproofing earlier there might have been more of my 504 left.

This should qualify for a heritage lottery grant.

Spaff. Whoops. Glorious.

Cracking motor, from Pugs best days too.

Must admit not too sure of the new Pugs either!

looks like the clock has been binned for the rev-o-meter!

i agree about binning the tailblazer and putting the pukka wheel trims back on

205's always look better with the square lantern jawed front bumper off xs/gti

The dash still has the hole to adjust the clock, it was binned before I purchased the car. The GTI digital clock I assume was fitted at the same time.

iirc that type of rev counter is quite rare and wasnt fitted to many models- the gti's had bigger dials didnt they?

I think from memory only the 5 door GT and Rallye models were fitted with that type of rev counter The GTI models had a totally different instrument panel. Just remembered the later 205 GR model had this to.

My Dad had a 205 Junior, and the drivers seat reminded me of a fat burd bending over... skin coloured foam bursting through denim. Used to fly up the A9 to visit us though, at slightly ill eagle speeds, and only 954cc. Was a brilliant wee thing.

I have got to get another 205, loving your work Mr sco

I had an STDT which was ace, quite like the idea of doing one to my own spec using other 205 bits like you do.

None of my 205's are the same as they left the factory. In general all are fitted with GTI/XS front spoilers, rear spoilers, driving lamps, red bumper inserts, one has genuine GTI ones and the rest either have them painted or wrapped using the red decals that were used for the bottom of the front spoiler. Four have alloys, one has XS optional ones, the other three has 106/206 alloys. The Automatic came with a colour coded plastic panel below the rear bumper, the others have had this done, including the 205 Mardi Gras Diesel just purchased. I have owned the 1987 205 since new and the spoilers etc were added to this before I picked the car up from the dealer.

if you fancy doing this you better do it soon as the prices of even diesel 205's and parts seem to be heading the wrong way.

I own 4 other 205's. Need to seek some help.

You think you've got it bad? I own 6 Rover 800s, and non of them are anywhere near good condition.

Your 205 looks really nice, keep up the good work.

Wow..A keeper for sure?

Wow..A keeper for sure?

It most certainly is a keeper, I think I would struggle to find another in the same condition as this.
