Excellent choice of vehicle, sir !

The next logical step is to implement some basic GIFFERLOOK YO 'scene' modifications, including a 2009 National Trust sticker, a tartan blanket on the parcel shelf, an NHS issue walking stick across the back seat and a large bag of Werther's in the glovebox.

Then, when the show season comes, you can attend the popular GIFFER RIDEZ GATHERING, where octogenarians from all over the country gather to consume excessive amounts of cucumber sandwiches and tea and discuss modifying their cars and mobility scooters.

I have a few changes in mind but more of that later!

My parents are clearly trendsetters in this area of the cultural zeitgeist.

The NT sticker on their ageing Audi is from 2008 (though the Malvern Hills Conservators parking permit is only a year out), Mum's stick is joined in the back by the old man's trilby, and while neither of them can stand Werther's a quarter of Mint Imperials is a very acceptable alternative. Stuck to the dash - as it has been in every car they've owned - is a green rubber 'Metzeler elephant', a souvenir of their 1963 Elefantentreffen adventure on a Triumph Thunderbird.

Lovely 205, BTW... 8)
