sco14
Saw this and could not resist. Not a desirable 205 especially being automatic and and a more door! However it is in good condition, low mileage of less than 11300 miles and a phase1. The photos below were taken the day I purchased the car. Sigmund Fraud
Excellent choice of vehicle, sir ! The next logical step is to implement some basic GIFFERLOOK YO 'scene' modifications, including a 2009 National Trust sticker, a tartan blanket on the parcel shelf, an NHS issue walking stick across the back seat and a large bag of Werther's in the glovebox. Then, when the show season comes, you can attend the popular GIFFER RIDEZ GATHERING, where octogenarians from all over the country gather to consume excessive amounts of cucumber sandwiches and tea and discuss modifying their cars and mobility scooters. charlie2555 and chaseracer

eddyramrod
Not a desirable 205 especially being automatic and and a more door! There are those among us who see both of those attributes as adding to the desirablility rather than taking away. Oh, just me then? sco14 and chaseracer
chaseracer
The next logical step is to implement some basic GIFFERLOOK YO 'scene' modifications, including a 2009 National Trust sticker, a tartan blanket on the parcel shelf, an NHS issue walking stick across the back seat and a large bag of Werther's in the glovebox. My parents are clearly trendsetters in this area of the cultural zeitgeist. The NT sticker on their ageing Audi is from 2008 (though the Malvern Hills Conservators parking permit is only a year out), Mum's stick is joined in the back by the old man's trilby, and while neither of them can stand Werther's a quarter of Mint Imperials is a very acceptable alternative. Stuck to the dash - as it has been in every car they've owned - is a green rubber 'Metzeler elephant', a souvenir of their 1963 Elefantentreffen adventure on a Triumph Thunderbird. Lovely 205, BTW... HillmanImp
Thats great. Reminds me of my grandads Wedgwood blue XLD, D244 RCX which he bought brand new from JCT600 Bradford, in 1986. Pillock

vulgalour
That is very acceptable, I could certainly live with something like that in my life if for some reason I had to have an automatic.

sco14
Just a short update, not to all of your liking I am sure. Amazed at the condition of the boot floor and beneath the rear seat base. The original Phillips radio cassette player which is staying. Fischer c box, purchased cheaply secondhand and fitted with new drawers. car had to have a full respray as the paint has faded and could not do a few small sections. Some detail work in front wheelarch, the paint finish is original factory applied. the best looking jack for a 205 which I have ever owned. Shocked to find the colour of the axle and torsion bars after cleaning only. The trailing arm has been painted. A few under bonnet minus the alternator and starter motor. drum, Spiny Norman, laser wheels and 18 others

carlo
Lovely car in a great colour, well worth preserving. No doubt drives as great as all 205s of the era. Think I'd dispense with the rear reflective red strip, but that's just a personal opinion.
