To continue with the Z3 theme, here's the worst one I've ever seen. Spotted in Corbridge today:

It's not a classic but this is in the car park of a care home a few doors down, it's been there for 4 years now, unmoved. Showing as untaxed since it was 2 years old and never being moted?!

I presume it belongs to a resident in the home but you'd thought a family member would have took it home or at least sorned it?.

Helston

Had a great weekend in a holiday home there, years ago. The pub was fun.

Crusty 104 at my local auction house. They often have a couple of Spec D cars, but this is a bit unusual. IMG_4906.jpeg.91ed6f0016c4999bdff028bd7aa91361.jpegIMG_4904.jpeg.ac42d63dbd25a2edb43648c2618c36e1.jpeg

It wasn’t in the last auction so might be in an upcoming one- I think at the end of the month.

Herefordshire is a fair trek from him, but I’ve done that trip picking up other French tat.

Think this belongs to one of my local petrol station staff. Ex @RetroShite IIRC.

Yeah, we had this one 2 years ago!

No pics sadly as it all happened too quickly. But I've just spotted this early Metro on the A361 North Devon Link road heading towards Tiverton.

It has odd coloured front end panels, black rims and the wonkiest suspension I've ever seen.

Great to see it on the road and being used!

That's - in rougher condition - the 1300 splitting image of the one I had back in the early 2000s.

Still the car I regret selling (in a fit of common sense) the most.

Spotted on a recent trip to France....Well, it HAD to be be, didn't it?

IMG_5987.jpegThere's a company who offer tours of Paris in these, rather like the "Trabbi Tours" of Berlin. This was taken near the Eiffel Tower-where else?

Slightly off-topic, but I noticed the garages in France sell "E85" fuel, at about half the price of normal E10:

Has anyone any idea what (if any?) cars can run on this and what is it....? This was a Total station on the outskirts of Paris, by the way!

High ethanol content pezz (actually low pezz content ethanol) - super 'green' stuff as the ethanol is plant based . You need a 'flexfuel' car (Citroen C4 is one I met) or you can get a black box to  piggy back on the ECU on a 'normal' pezz motor. It's said to be less efficient than E10 (20 - 25% less MPG iirc) but the prices you have there would suggest it's worth a punt?

E85 is/was quite popular in the US so a lot of American domestic market stuff, particularly from GM iirc, was made to run on it.

Our Bini (71 plate) can use E25 as I expect most newer cars can . I’ve never seen it anywhere but it’s probably coming fairly soon.

Before I returned a rental Fiat 500 Twinair at Lyon airport I filled it with that stuff. Not sure if I was supposed to. It made it as far as the rental company. I suspect previous renters had done the same thing. Or are all Twinairs totally gutless?

Spotted en route to Rustival (photos get progressively worse as we go) 😅

Some from my trip to the French Alps. Older stuff was getting thin on the ground, especially around Grenoble.

This was lurking in the Museum Car Park with bonus old plates.

Wouldn't be France without a Twingo, though this one was an unusually good condition.

Out in the countryside, there was some stuff still hanging on, like this ZX with white steelies

Spotted in Chamonix, the 45 was Mint. Volga doesn't count as a spot as it was part of our group.

Alpines were quite common to see, this one was probably the first shot from the back seat of a Volga.

This place had a back yard filled with C15s, this was out the front for sale. Steep at 5500€ though.

In the same car park on the shore of Lake Geneva as an Ebro! But not the classic trucks or vans, the name is now on a CKD produced Chery Crossover.
