Passed an interesting garage today, the first thing that caught my eye was this A50 ute gasser, nicknamed "Bosstin".

Has a 7.0 Pontiac engine, and was featured in a top ten list of gassers in Street Machine magazine.

The Pontiac engine came from this '63 Bonneville which is now receiving an 8.8 litre engine (forgot what make):

There was this Ford Prefect/Popular/Anglia outside the workshop too:

Interesting place, the owner said they get all kinds of interesting stuff coming in and out so I'll see if I can pop by another time.

I love all that. Yes to more pic. Thanks.

The only classy thing I saw in 2 days in Clacton-On-Sea.

Bet the neighbours love this bloke, half a dozen shagged out funeral limos in the street and at least another half a dozen hearses and Jags on the drive, not sure what use these things are once they’ve done a banger rally there’s nowhere but the oval to go.

Wonderfully crusty 75 tourer in Chapel Point. The half arsed hammerite and primer on the sills are the icing on the cake! IMG_20201024_100401.thumb.jpg.bcf4feefd5799516d34d6da782190351.jpg

I think the woman in the next car is trying to solve the enigma of why you want a pic of her.

My friends car. It’s got flames on the front and various HGV paraphernalia. I was going to get a view of the front but you’ve been spared he started chatting and I forgot.

Couple of bits from this morning.

200D. How miserably slow must this be?

B533 BAV - 1985 Mercedes-Benz 200D

Saw the red Skoda first, then looked in front and spotted the blue one and it can't be coincidence they were together. MOT history says they were low-mileage cars but are both doing over 10k a year now!

Hope its not too old but that's me! Looks great from that far away. Where was that? Hah

It was going through Buckingham. Good to see you here and I'm sure we'd all like to hear more about the car as there's plenty of Volvo fans on AS.

Is that a Rottweiler security deterrent tied underneath or a snapped tow rope 🤔

All quiet on the spotting front due to lockdown? Well you'll be delighted to hear I saw a BROWN ALLEGRO today. If that isn't shite, I don't know what is.

Wrong plates for T-reg surely?

technically legal for any vehicle over 40 years old, but totally incorrect and they need to get Frisbee'ed ASAP, I dont want to think what nice original  plates might have been binned off for them...

(originally the cut off for white on black plates for private cars was the 1st of January 1973, but more recently the rules where amended that any vehicle over 40 years old can wear white on black plates as well)

otherwise a very nice spot :)

On closer inspection it looks like a heavy duty chain probably going to a ground anchor, unfortunate that you have to do that nowadays😕
