Just as an addition, I was in the Mazda because the Legacy was outside a pub in Leeds as I got smashed with Volksy last night on red wine in a Hornsea crockery mug: Amishtat, worldofceri and Zelandeth 3

One of the camper specialists was selling them. LightBulbFun and spartacus 2

(imports under 10 years old need some sort of type approval/SVA IIRC) (wikipedia says they ran on both Petrol and ethanol so that explains the bi fuel thing)

I love cases like this of vehicles that have been in production unchanged as little as possible for decades sadly AFAIK the Lada Niva and that "bread loaf" Russian van whose name escapes me, are the only 2 vehicles like that, still in production? (happy to be proven wrong tho!)

Yoss Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 This is a bit special. Thanks to Mrs Yoss for this one. It's a Robin 65. End of the line special run out edition. The 65 is for 65 years of Reliant motors. Funnily enough I'm currently reading a book on the history of Reliant and it mentions these. Along with the gold paint you had alloy wheels a snazzy red, white and grey leather interior, walnut dash and 'an individual plaque with the owners name engraved on it'. You don't even get that in a Rolls. It cost a full ten bags though which was considerably more than most four wheeled super minis at the time and still more than Dacia Sandero today! Yoss Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 As did all of them from the 1982 Rialto onwards. The Rialto had a spare wheel for the first time but the car still had to come in under 8cwt if it was to be able to be driven on a motorcycle licence which was one of its main selling points. One of the weight saving measures was the single wiper (I think the linkage between the two was probably heavier than the wiper itself).
Tadhg Tiogar Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Clean. Not a scratch on this one. jumpingjehovahs, michael t, worldofceri and 2 others 5
jumpingjehovahs Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Just had a poke about the station car park and it was devoid of shite, however there were some interesting moderns. Lovely pair. I imagine the much older Merc will be way less trouble. Probably the best colour combo on a 451 Smart and there’s not too many of these Infiniti’s about either. PBK mobile and a lovely little Yaris that is there most days The car isn’t my cup of cake but it is a top colour. These are getting more and more attractive by the day. If it was a convertible in the nice dark green they do I’d have had a crisis. Nothing special about this Mondeo other than the fact it is wearing the most gash wheel trims I’ve seen in ages. Scotball Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Welcome to autoshite street. An ignis thats probably going to fail its MOT in march and never be seen again. 1987 SAAB 900 1983 bm 525... took 3 months to fix all the problems on its last MOT all randomly parked on the same street. how about that. New POD Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 That last picture? Sir Henry Royce shaking his head, whilst looking away. You can only imagine his negative thoughts.
Aston Martin Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 I saw an immaculate Dakar Yellow z3. Driven by a 3247 year old woman.

4wheeledstool Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Spotted at MOT training place Unable to get a decent shot due to mountains of crap in the vicinity. Must be pretty thin on the ground now - this one is destined to be fragged due to battery borkage. jumpingjehovahs, HillmanImp and Yoss 2 1
