I sold my 17" Alloy rimz (see further back in this thread) to a dude in a hoody from St Helens via Gumtree after literally 5 minutes of posting the ad. Worth a go if it doesn't sell here and you don't want to deal with the usual on ebay.

Anyway, has anyone got a small trailer they would like shut of? I'm looking for a 4ft x 3ft size prefer galvanised. Anyone got owt let me know?

Spares from 1990 Citroen XM hatch, 2.0 petrol auto - doors/tailgate; full velour interior, heated/electric seats; instrument pack; inner rear window; headlights/rear lights; good dot-matrix displays; various switches and small bits. Need to get rid.

That said, the thieving wanker off here who had the sunroof cassette in May and still hasn't coughed up can FRO. Anyone else is most welcome, and will be provided with tea & biscuits.

:)

Sorry, that was me - your package will be on its way tomorrow! Personal reasons and problems caused me not to be anywhere apart from work, bed and the M6/M74 for some ten months of hell. :-(

Does anyone have a decent, working torque wrench they don't need anymore? Unfortunately I wrecked mine using it as a breaker bar to shift a stubborn hub nut and I'm going to need one to torque down the cylinder head on the Maestro. Can collect within Kent, South Essex or East London.

Thanks!

Have you a halfords trade card? They have a decent 1/2 inch one that is about half price with the card.

Afraid not, as I'm not trade. Managed to get one off Ebay now, but thanks anyway!

For Sale Klann copy spring compressor which I bought to change the springs on my W124. I understand it works for most Merc coil springs and some other cars where the spring doesn't have a strut passing through the centre.

Cost me best part of £100, shiters price £50 plus postage. It looks like this: http://www.lasertools.co.uk/item.aspx?cat=1119&item=4862

Cougar V6 2.5 X pack. Leather, no sunroof, everything works, NO MOT and the tax runs out at the end of March. 135k or something like that.

It drove well, but has sat since about December. It'll need the brakes cleaning up and I don't know what else for the MOT. Drives well enough. Stereo (with CD changer) works well enough. Spare keys, bit of service history and the engine sounds sweet as a nut. Slight clunk from the rear somewhere occasionally but it was fine while I was using it. Can't be bothered putting it through the MOT so I figured I'd offer it to you lot before I scrap it and get shouted at*

£200. It's in Liverpool and it has to go very soon. If anyone's interested PM me on here.

I've also got a Mota-Lita wheel from my old Rover SD1. 15" I think. £50.

Cartakeback are the best payers at the moment. Put it out of it's misery and use the cash for something better, like something without a Ford badge on it!

No?

TO THE BRIDGE!

One moment there, sir!  It's not been three days yet...  ;)

Cartakeback offering £155.

So I can take the cd player etc...

Mental, innit. Being very wrong-minded I always lusted after one of these. That's only twice as much as the very tempting Mountain Bike for sale elsewhere on here. Criminally cheap, and criminally underappreciated.

Kit Car twats will be all over a cheap Cougar. They are used as a base car for some of those wanky Ferrari replicas...

Stereos are fine but they'll get upset/won't pay what they offered if you take mechanical bit off. I usually find a knackered battery and put that on so I don't give a decent useable spare one away.

Had a Cougar V6,very underated car IMHO

I'd have been interested in this but bike is coming out of hibernation so needs mot/battery/service/tax ect ect

Unless you fancy a swap for a 2000 306 Xsi?

Thing is, is not a bad car. It's the Mondeo ST24 running gear so it ain't hopeless. It's just not a Capri and Ford don't seem to realise that Europe wants a small, RWD coupe with huge potential for oversteer instead of a civilised motorway muncher.

Name was a major fail as well.

I'm gonna call cartakeback in the morning and send it to its death. Seems a fucking shame as itdrives nicely but that's that. I would put it in for an MOT but I'm already £300 down on it and an MOT ain't gonna bring a stampede of buyers to the door. It's just another £35 down the drain.

I hate weighing in good working vehicles but I've tried to sell it and everyone is turning their noses up "Its a V6. It'll guzzle fuel", they say before scuttling back under their rocks. On a run it'll happily do mid 30s mpg - which is more than you'd get from a Capri or summat but logic and tightfistedness never seem to go well.

Still. I tried.

Don't fancy the 306 then?

6 months mot,tax till end of the month

Needs pass front wheel bearing and has a knock from the drivers side in spite of a new balljoint

Drivers seat suede-type trim is falling apart and has the legendary stiff clutch pedal but runs brilliantly

any abs issues at all with the cougar?

any warning lights at all?

alternator light going out and staying out?

ABS seems to work but the brakes aren't brilliant. The alternator light came on once after it had been parked for a month but went out and stayed out after running it for 5 mins.

No warning lights.

I'll scrap it fella. As I said it worked fine when I was using it - I did 200 mile round trips without worrying but I've not used it since December other than a quick trip around the block.

It's easier to just ring someone to take it away than end up spending a day checking it over etc. With them I can ring up, go outside, start it, check the tyre pressures, and they can take it away.

Christ. This thread's a world of temptation tonight!

I start trying to justify Pete's Cougar, and then a 306 XSi pops up. FUCKKKK.

Got someone supposedly coming to see the MG tomorrow, so I may be in a position to timewaste!

Posted

I doubt you'll even have to start it, Pete. They'll just winch it on and cart it away.

Does anyone have a Volvo 'dog dish' flywheel? To clarify, this is the single mass, dished flywheel fitted to all Volvos running Bosch LH2.4 management (Any with a Lambda sensor, or "Lambda Sond" grille badge).

Should be fitted to all manual 740/940s from around 1991 with M46 (4spd+OD) or M47 gearbox. In 1995 they switched to the 850-derived 'M90' box and dual mass flywheel, which I am seeking to replace.

Any help (or nudges in the right direction) GR8LY appreci8'd.

I've said i'll have another at some point but there's no rush lol

Pete cartakeback gave me the agreed 200 notes for my 'complete' Vectra with no battery, stereo, exhaust, any interior and half a dash. The chap sat on the floor as he steered it into the low loader.
