Like the proverbial bad penny I'm here again, Chris. I might very well have four 185/65/14s if any good? I can switch my 185/60s to my estate and sell you the 65s if wanted? I could even be persuaded to switch all the wheels directly over so you can drive straight off.

Billy, it's looking like I might not need them, after all. The car I wanted is a bit dear, and he's firm on price at the moment. It needs a few quid throwing at it, so unless I can get him down a bit, I'm leaving it. Thanks for the offer, though. BTW, are those 185/60s on rims? Might have to think about squeezing them on the 106 if I can't get the proper 175s for it.

They're currently on V**xh*ll steel wheels, but can easily be removed, Chris.

Ther was a time when you could'nt throw a stone without hitting a TK and now the parts seem a bit thiner on the ground

Does anyone have a spare internal or external hard drive they want rid of? My PC has basically reached it limit as has the slave hard drive I'm using for storage. I need to transfer my files from the original drive to a slave one so I can get the PC fixed up and refreshed, everything else, flat screen monitor, keyboard and now sound system is new or recent so the only thing I need do is to bring my PC up to date.

Ta,

I might have an external one lurking around somewhere but It doesn't want to run with the newer versions of windoze and I have now way of changing anything.

HI there,

I haven't posted here much, but I was an active member of oldjapanese car and datsun forum for many years.

I have found myself in a position where my storage place of 12 years has now been sold for housing development.  I need to find somewhere pretty quick to store a Datsun 120Y, 3 Protons and a stash of spare parts including engines, gearboxes, axles etc.  I plan to sell 2 of the cars to reduce the fleet down a bit.  All the parts are currently in a shipping container which could be moved to a new location, if there are no sheds or buildings at available at the new location.

All the stuff is currently at Ripon in North Yorkshire, but I actually live in Bradford, so I'm preferably looking for somewhere in the North or West Yorkshire regions.  Somewhere that is economical (I'm not asking for free, but cheap please).  I am currently paying £50 a month for storage of this stuff.  Cars don't need to be undercover but parts do.  It would need to be somewhere where I could tinker around with the cars a bit.  On a farm would be ideal.  If there is somewhere that has other old car people around I would be most happy to help them with work on their own cars as that's how we always worked in this yard at Ripon, everybody helped eachother.

If anyone knows of anywhere please do get in touch with me, as I need to move quickly with this or I may end up having to scrap stuff that has taken years to find.

Please PM me directly as I don't visit this forum very often, or you can send a text message to O seven nine 8 five twenty one fifty three forty 6.

Here is a picture of my cars and current parts store (parcel force container).

If only Yugolada had got up to J, that photo would have gone GR8 on the J Reg Protons thread. Sadly we only had

F: http://autoshite.com/topic/10913-are-there-any-f-reg-protons-still-around/

G: http://autoshite.com/topic/10965-g-reg-proton/

H: http://autoshite.com/topic/10969-h-reg-proton/

I blame you Bollox for taking the piss.

I prefer G-reg protons to H-reg, so i won't be adding anything to this thread. However my favourite reg of proton is J, is there a thread for those anywhere?

Admittedly I havent tried any of those, I especially havent tried cart transplants as i expect them to want like £300 for a gearbox, rather unfairly s I have had a few cheap bits off them thinking about it
