This weekend's fun thread :D (idea shamelessly nicked from another forum  )

Imagine. Your favourite great-aunt has sadly just died, but knowing of your love of assorted old cars has left you this. 8)

Unfortunately it has only room for one car so what would you choose and why?

My choice would be the Lancia Trevi, for the completely bonkers dashboard, even though I would have to wheel the car out to see it in all its splendour. Feel free to add......

.....please :)

Ohhhhhhhhhh this is fun every time we do it! :D Any rules? Does it have to be something we can afford to buy? Fit for daily use? How Tardis-y is the garage?

An immaculate series one Jaguar XJ12, with aircon that works, that has been sprinkled with fairy dust so that it does 42 mpg.....

No contest. Early Range Rover on Edelbrock kit and a big Holley. :D

More likely a mark 1 MG Metro, in red.

I've got one auntie left, and I know she had a silver Yaris last time I saw her... :( But, as they were all game old birds, I like to think one might have left something like a mint, low-mileage 1965 Humber Sceptre in this garage. If I'm filling it myself, it'll be with a late-series PA Cresta.

Battle through the nettles, try and open the door without it falling apart in my hands to find this.

Thanks, Auntie, you're the best!

For me it would have to be a late eighties Nissan Laurel 2.4.

In fact later in the year I want to get a bit of money saved and go in search of a half decent one

Other than that, a PC cresta Deluxe.

Oh no, erm....

Well, as I've already got a couple of Mk1 Rover Sterlings and a Mk2 Saloon I guess it'd have to be an 827 Coupe.

Oh wow, yes, and with electric lights and power. :)

I'd like to think my imaginary auntie was a crazy old bird, and she'd dry-stored a 15-litre straight four 1907 Itala for me...

6th generation Lancia Aurelia B20 GT. And the same again in fortification and shotgun cartridges.

Gordon-Keeble for me but I suppose that's very unlikely so I'd settle for a Triumph 2000 or Rover P6

+1.

Mind you I'd still have to have that low mileage, always garaged Lotus Carlton.
