I’ve run my £1 acquisitions through the spa and they came out great, even if @bunglebus has trumped me with some 5p Corgi’s this morning 😂 Nothing here I've ever bought before, but these four I should have bought in hindsight, there excellent castings. The Volvo doesn't photo well, but is great in the flesh BTW. The BMW I3 is cracker.

Theres a few more not shown, but these lot tickled me too, spot the two Corgi interlopers at the back that were a 50p bin in Felixstowe on Friday, and a 20p bootsale Majorette Renault 17.

This last selection of matchbox I’m pleased with especially the 90’s Tyco 300ZX. The Vipers a great heavyweight casting spoiled by shite wheels. However that ML…..

I cant put my finger on it, but the Jurassic Park ML is objectively terrible, yet really appeals to me. I buy things that the 8 year old me would have cherished, and I think I’d have clutched this as a favourite back then, it would had a lot of play value.

Oddly, mine doesn't look nearly as vibrant as that, more of a silvery green.

Weird coincidences today. Saw the guy that often has unusual Cortina toys for sale, like the big plastic one recently. Then spotted this in the car park very close to his stall

As I went past again I asked if it was his - and it wasn't. However I did buy this elsewhere

It's a Cararama/Hongwell and they don't seem too dear on ebay, I paid £1 for this one and yes I'll keep it for now as I like it quite a lot too! Not sure what I'll do with it though so I'll keep you in mind if I get rid.

I forgot to mention that we went into Lewes on Sunday and one of the junk shops now has a lot of die cast models of yank Muscle cars including the El Camino  @Datsuncog bought the other day. We couldn't see the price and the place was absolutely rammed and we didn't have time to wait for the staff to open the cabinet for us to find out how much. Hopefully next time we are there it will be quiet and I can find out the prices.

Shocked of Buckingham!

I like to buy a 1:43 model of all the cars I own. My latest buy is a 2007 Citroen C6 and I have just looked for a model and found 3 but they ranged £80-£200. I am not paying that sort of money. I don't care about brand, black would be my first choice of colour but open to any colour. Anybody know of any cheaper ones for sale?

Some charity shop rubbish encountered this weekend - first up, the Hospice Shop:

Looks like someone finally cleared out all their Corgis collected through that BP promotion in the 1980s, plus a few Matchbox from the same era and some more modern Hot Wheels.

The metallic brown 911 wasn't in too bad shape, but overall these weren't exactly great value at £2 each. Those price stickers also looked like they'd take the paint off the roof... 

The Blytheswood Care shop had more agreeable prices, but nothing really worth having:

The only item of note was this brave stab at a Dodge Magnum wagon, wearing somewhat unlikely Italian Red Cross livery:

And that was about it, as it happens. 

Other than all that, wall-to-wall Mattel Dream Mobiles in Home Bargains look set to be a feature for a while... 

At least 70 here!

Those XJS wheels are actually pretty close to the XJR-S design, which is nice. Shame they're about 28in, though.

Mooching around Tescotainer earlier, lady was putting out yet more F case Hot Wheels, so I had a look through the sealed boxes to see if there was a Civic Super - no. 

There was yet another in Poundland

That's 12 F cases I've managed to open now, and one Super found, gives you an idea how scarce they are. 

Almost as hard to find is the red Pontiac GTO from the Silverline series, mine coming via @Datsuncog in the end. However Tesco had one on the shelf today too, so I clutched it in both hands and skipped to the till gaily.

This thing is nice

Full metal base means this is quite a heavyweight too. I did consider wheel swapping it but couldn't find anything quite right - you can see where Mattel were going with the semi-Fuch 5 spokes anyway. 

I know it's not the same thing, but I couldn't resist a comparison

Painted the sides as similar a blue as I could find, bit of detail here and there including a red engine. Even painted the black base in matt black, which has made no appreciable difference!
