More rapid than eagles his pistons they came,
And he swore and cursed, and called them some names:
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As leaves that before the holed exhaust fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, take to the sky;
So up to the housetop this rusty crap flew
With the parcels of shite, and a dodgy ASSS too—
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The pinking and  banging of each little cam.
As I drew in my head, and was dreaming of ham,
Down the chimney that ASSS came with a bound.
He was dressed in coveralls, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with oily stains and diesel soot;
A bundle of shite he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a pedler just opening his sack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me the feeling of a politics thread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And dumped all his parcels; then turned like a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his luxo-barge, to his key gave a turn,
And away it all flew like the milk in a churn.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

Mrs R is off to work and the kids have been in and had their stocking presents, so I've opened my secret Santa.

It's definitely for me...

Inside is a very handy 1/4 drive socket set - a mega quality one!

 

I was only thinking yesterday that I wish I had an easier to find colour socket set than the halfords on I'm constantly misplacing - I'll struggle not to spot this!

The clamp on chrome exhaust tip is definitely getting fitted to one of the cars 😆.

The chocolate will be installed into the wife at some point (I don’t eat it for allergy reasons) and the screwdriver set will be useful in the garage as so many of my hex drive sets are now missing several bits!

Lock picking set is quite a cool little thing, as is the magnet grabber thing - I had one on a previous ASSS that I managed to break recently, so decent timing! Like the biscuits, lanyard and the pizza cutter is a laugh too.
