Well a lotus SUV rocked up with it now, presumably they’re having some sort of car meet for owners of prestige car brands that have lost their way.

The lotus looks very similar, but is electric and quicker than the Bentley. It’s also ‘only’ £160k (although the entry level version is £70k) and to be honest looks like a better buy!

What I hadn’t appreciated is that Rolls Royce have got in on the action with the £490k SUV:

like @New POD said, how much cash would you need in your pocket to use this much for a car?!

If that rolls was black it’s have an orange sign on the roof.

If one ever finds oneself with a large, unexpected sum of money, the first purchase should always be a pot to piss in.Then, when it's all gone,at least you'll have that! I've always fancied a very late Bristol though.Just love the the thought of something made against all the odds,by a few old blokes in a unit tucked away on an industrial estate.Still have plenty left over,so if sticking to cars,a new Rexton.Do like the Grenadier as well though, and I'd at least have a look at a Tesla of some sort.

There are dozens of cars i could name depending on my mood but I'd always include a mildly modified Corolla GT Coupe.

Money no object I'd buy  a hanger at Biggin Hill or some such place, fill it up with classic aircraft and race cars. I'd pay a handful of professionals and veterans to maintain them and fly/drive them at exhibition events.

Pay off mortgage and then buy a....God only knows. Classic Citroen maybe? Mark 4 Cortina 2.3 V6?

What’s the red one - I like it a lot!

It's a Bristol 403.

Imagine how much spare cash in the bank you'd need (from a psychological point of view) before you'd spend £200k

If one lives, rent free, in the Royal Lodge then one has a lot of spare cash.

That's basically a 200k badge.

If you’re a footballer on £500k a week, it’s peanuts. There’s probably at least 100 EPL players on £200k + a week.

Wouldn’t anyone spend a weeks wages on a car without thinking about it?

Shit that’s cheap. Was it just me though that fast forwarded through the pictures of the kitchen and bedroom to get a look at the garden and the garage?

You think that's cheap?  Selling the two-bedroom mid-terrace we live in now wouldn't raise half of that!  The asking is a reasonable average for one like that, in what is a very nice part of town.  I'd like all the rooms downstairs rather than up, and a better driveway, but it's good enough.

Or would be if I could afford it.

Yes compared to the U.K. as a whole that is very cheap for a house. You couldn’t get a bike shed in the SE for less than £450k.

I don’t know about how much money, I’d say “how little taste?”

That is so awful, how could anyone even with £500k to burn, say “yes, that’s what I want”?

The so-called high-end SUVs we've been seeing in this thread are SO depressing!  I mean, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce, bad enough, but Lotus???  Colin Chapman must be doing 9000rpm in his grave!  That thing is the polar opposite of everything he tried to do.  They are also, I'm certain, the opposite of Autoshite, if we still use Shite in any sort of fond, tolerant way.  About the only thing worse would be no cars at all.

That photo is superb.  Do you have a high-res version of it, or is it online somewhere maybe?

I don't have a better version of it. And I found it online, I don't remember where. But if you google that photo, there are several places where it's shared, so maybe some of them are better?

Saw this recently. Simplicate and add lightness…

If I had a big lottery win one of these -

mercedes-amg-g-class-with-v12-engine-from-brabus.jpg.8454ffb6790ecab4678a712aae9d77ed.jpg

Some of these are £300k +. Not sure about gold teeth and leopard skin speedos for the authentic Russian gangster look though.

Having had a jensen interceptor for a couple of days I would own one in a heartbeat.

You can add Ferrari to the list of SUVs. FFs.

I'd buy a Stalwart, swimmer, a couple of Unimogs and a Volvo Sugga which would keep the SUVers away.

Well I've just have a browse through Car and Classic's current stock and found it hard to find anything I fancied for 200k. This Mondial in blue would get my vote even though it is available for 'only' £35k and would attract a Ulez charge. With a few imperfections I wouldn't  feel concerned about actually using it, rather than just taking it to shows 😄
