Just realised this could have gone in the grin thread, so mods please could you move?

Sorry I'm new here 🤦

Good. Hopefully they’ll stick the lot through the baler and issue a suitably large fine.

On my way back home last night on the M25 I noticed quite a few high end cars on what looked like Dubai registration plates driving like absolute bell ends

The owners are so wealthy they probably won't notice. These cars are pocket change motors for using while they're away from home.

I’m fairly sure something suitably onerous could be out in place in the form of refusing a visa.

Would be better to sell at public auction. Money to go towards the cost of policing these tossers.

Hmmm upsetting the antithesis of "boat people"? Probably not going to happen is it?

Probably right, £200k or whatever they’re worth would be better in employing some more police or in the NHS.

I don’t think people arriving in boats or under lorries are likely to be doing burnouts on Ilford High Road in Lamborghini.

Just re read that. I was trying to type and eat at same time. Either way you can’t just wave money around and do what you want.

Historical evidence suggests that in most cases, actually you can.

You shouldn't be able to, but what should be the case and what actually happens are two different things.

I saw some of these twats about 10 years ago one evening somewhere near Hyde Park.

Revving up their supercars (mostly Lambos ), and driving about 5 yards forward. Everyone was just laughing at them but they thought they were so cool.

Annoyingly you are right. Still, shouldn’t be the case.

You can if you are registered as a diplomat, and you have diplomatic immunity. There have been lots of cases of very serious crimes that the perpetrators have claimed immunity and have had to be let go. I'm sure that it isn't too far a stretch to get sunny boy put down as an 'adviser' so as to escape the law.

Presumably once they have paid their fines and proved that they now have the correct insurance they will be able to collect their cars from the pound.

Or you claim to be a diplomat and having killed an innocent lad on his motorbike, you hightail it back to your own country and refuse to accept what you've done 🤬

Went to Dubai a few years back, expecting to see lots of supercars.Quite disappointed.Remember the advertising strapline"The car in front is a Toyota"?There the car in front almost certainly would actually be a Toyota.Bloody things were everywhere.Taxis, people carrier things, Landcruisers etc.A lot seemed to be used for taking folk out into the desert.Got two daughters over there.Ones got a Kia Stoma or somesuch, the other a Pajero/Shogun.

And therefore should be made to drive one of these.

I saw the gold car driving around last week on Kuwait plates

i think it is a Mitsubishi Colt Sigma

Won't bother them in slightest probably got several more, the laws anywhere don't apply to these people.

I spot the odd car in Manchester registered in one of the Gulf nations.  They aren't always that fancy, one being a Mini with "translated" Qatari plates, so I assumed it was from Guernsey at first.

No one appears to have told Elon Musk that, among others.

There's going to be several export sales reps at BAE Systems with squeaky arses tomorrow.

Yup, 4-door variant of the C210 version sold here as 240K GT in the late '70s/early '80s (had a total of five of them). Sad to see there. They seem to be particularly popular with Kuwaitis.
