Safe trip to the travelling shiters. I've been chopping* wood for a camp fire and just bought a load of lager and food for the trip. 

I'll be using a tent that I've never erected but it's supposed to be a pop up one - we'll see. The photo shows the closest thing to instructions I've found! 

Hopefully the Friday night massif will get the campsite rocking, ready for the Saturday slow coaches. 

Master Grogee excited for the event and hoping to find a playmate to kick a football around with.

For my part I've packed the car for camping and I've stocked up at Tesco. Cooler blocks are in the freezer and so is the export lager. 

I found some label sheets that should allow us to write name labels - however I'm not there until tomorrow afternoon so you'll all have to refer to each other as 'mate' until then. 

How muddy is the site? Should I bring wellies? #glastoflashbacks

Lin and I are still hard at work in North Yorkshire. However we hope to be on the road by about 5.30. Save us a good spot!

Apologies, I have not had chance to wash the new vehicle since we got it, but it might be too dark to tell by the time we get there anyway... I would like to get us there in daylight if we can.

I will say this now, there is something magical/ethereal/prehistoric about a Gathering of People around a camp fire in the dark. Looking forward to tomorrow night.
