The French Collection - further breakdown and bonus misery

Oooh a live ARSE event, very lucky you didn't have to wait for the RAC or AA to come out and not give a shit.

Chod speed, hope you get home safely and don't have a new entry into the 'A framing accidents' hall of fame

Oooh the last picture is a metaphor! Unless their oncoming headlights and not the sun?

Who could've possibly forseen this!?

Still having a good day so far. Spirits not dampened yet.

If you spell lasagne like that, you get what you deserve. Sorry to hear about the FTP, hope you get home before you run out of energy..

Of the two French collections this weekend I really would not have expected this to be the one that FTP'd while the C6 glided home without a hitch*.

*Mostly.

Oof, definitely a day to remember. Just look at the bright side though, by tomorrow you are home and can enjoy your new Peugeot. Oh wait...

I'm in no way sour so far. Not frustrated or angry. Had a good day and a good adventure. Far less stressful than an illegal trailer on a struggling 30mph Rexton.

It ain't going to be over before midnight 😂

Ah come on, some of us have to be up in the morning for work.

Aye.

That's @sdkrc familiarising himself with the Inca before heading out of Weardale and back home.

@Jimbob McGregor put in a phenomenal stint behind the wheel of the pretty smart looking 106 and got it to a safe place for the night to be looked at... later.

Managed to get it back the 65 miles of winding/uppy-downy stuff at 30-40 mph after cutting the (extremely noisy) alternator belt. The grinding OS CV joint wasn’t happy and I’m impressed it made the last few miles without exploding! Vast majority of time was on unlit roads with the headlamps off following L1s Duster. Didn’t make sense to use the A-frame.

Oh, and I parked next to a lovely Bristol in Kirkby Lonsdale entirely by chance, and didn’t even notice it for a while.

It gets better! 2hr final leg. Standing room only and the only space is next to the toilets!

If it turns out to be OMGHGF you'll always associate fucked french fancies with the reek of other people's piss. Do you resemble either Julie Graham or the blond one?

I'm still 2hrs drive from home now in the courtesy 205.

Some incredible fog in the Pennines so was crawling at 30mph most of the last 90mins.

Some other pics from today

I forgot to mention the caravan incident.

We pull the convoy into a petrol station and there's a guy in a V70 towing a caravan at near enough midnight. He spends 5 mins fucking about with the caravan, detaching it, locking himself outside, reattaching it etc. We don't make much of It until @loserone overhears that he's driven the caravan into one of the pumps.

We're push starting the 106 because of the low battery and missing aux belt and he expresses an interest by slurring his words and failing to balance on two feet.

We drive away and dial it into 999 as he's very, very drunk.

Caravans make me want to drink heavily too.

This is an epic tale of misery . Fair play for taking it in your stride . Long distance car malfunctions are my idea of hell especially on a school night .

Home at 440am. Woke up at 840am. Feel like I've been drinking for 2 days and like someone has shit in my mouth. ROUGH
