The chap sounds like he's not your usual ebay moron and he actually knows what he's on about, if the standard of his previous repairs is good (and I have a gut feeling that it probably is) then I reckon that would make a very nice easy, rewarding little project for someone. Acclaim values are still so low though I wonder if anyone will bother taking on a project even at that price? I really hope they do

We did have blankets... it was good enough in the dark, parked up under Southport Pier! I'm probably too old for such games now, but in any case you can't park where I did any more, they've built on it.
