Not he best colour but I think they are a very stylish design. When i raised the point with a wise friend I was told that they could bankrupt any of several european countries with their maintenance costs but what could possibly go wrong? This one seems quite cheap. That might have something to do with it being on the Isle of Sheppey.

I really like them, especially the rear end. I saw a very clean red one a year or so back and it looked lovely.

Not wrong at all. They're stunning and ridiculously cheap. Wouldn't fancy changing a cambelt on one mind, but they're very nice to look at, especially considering the steaming pile of merde de chien that followed.

For me it's one of the most beautiful cars from a volume marque of the last 20 years. Shame they switched to those frog mouthed horrors right after

There's it's twin sitting 20 feet away from me on the drive, it's always been driven very rapidly, has covered at least 300,000 miles and only ever needed routine maintenance (apart from the odometer dying). It still looks good, sounds lovely and drives great!

Owned by my friend whose home I'm house sitting, it was the personal car of a Peugeot main dealer MD, and my friend bought it off their forecourt. Knowing how he drives, and the vast miles he covers, I'm astonished at how utterly reliable the car's been!

NOOOOOO!!!

Thought Joe might have offered it up on here first. :?

It is a shame that he didn't

Really what is it with the huge text in ebay ads thing? (Sorry, I'll go back to the Grump thread shortly)

I'm far from impressed. He haggled me down to a hundred as well - was happy to - only cos I thought he was gonna use it properly.

Cube it and sell the spares. BX's are not that rare or desirable yet that utter basket cases are worth anything more than frag money, even supposedly "rare ones" which this isnt.

Skeelo? WTF is that? I recognise the 64 Impala (bottom pic) but the rest... fuck me, even Poirot would be stumped. Give, someone!:?

I wish I was little bit taller,

I wish I was a baller,

I wish I had a girl who looked good

I would call her

I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat

WT-Actual-F is going on with those rear wheel arches? It looks like the design was put onto the drawing board and then hacked about by a hyperactive 2 year old with some blunt scissors.

RE: Escort:

I had one of those, exactly the same, A929FLM. 1.3L

Wrote it off in York, 10/12/89, T-boned a Cavalier Sri, then drove it back to Essex, with only 3 light bulbs, 2 gears and no radiator. That was fun.

After a red one and a blue one, Trigger absolutely needs a white one! 3 door estate, 1600 auto, with that mileage? Even I would, and I'm so not an Escort fan. Ask if the roofrack is included!

From memory:

I wish I had a brand new car

So far I got this hatchback

And everywhere I go YO

I get laughed at

I got an 8 track

and a spare tyre in the back seat

but thats flat

You want to know whats really whack?

I cant even get a date

So wha'dya think of that?

Its an Autoshite anthem! :-)
