Maybe the wheels are worth that if they haven't been too buggered. Otherwise V5...

doesnt the vin number go with the body on an Elan?

Ok, I stand corrected! :)

I remember riding in one of those when I was about 7. Would love to find one here, it would be almost as much fun as the X1/9, and a close fight for style points!

Caravelle are literally the best looking cars ever... ok exagerration but they are brilliant. I was admiring one in the Day of the Jackal the other day, Id had that in a jiffy if it wasn't for all the usual as well as the fact its probably more rotten than rotten thing.

If there's a more deserving candidate for a rollered matte black paint job than that Caddy, we need to see it.

Stopped off after visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton en route to Pittsburgh

Sadly didnt see the Buckeyes play as it was between the end of regular season and bowl season but walked right around the stadium (mainly to avoid freezing to death) and then went to Barnes and Noble to buy lots of Ohio State stuff !!!! Also spent some time in a bar across the road from there but cant remember what it was called

Thanks Blitz, very kind, you wont believe this but I am a Fighting Irish fan LOL

Adopted OSU as my 2nd team after visiting Columbus, really enjoyed it !!!!! Was lucky enough to see NFL games in Pittsburgh, Baltimore,Philadelphia, Washington and Atlanta in the same trip plus the Ohio D1 HS championship at Canton which was great, could not believe how good 18 year old kids were !!!!

Have played and coached for many years in the UK and love football with a passion (its very grassroots over here but growing with the Wembley game each season)

^ Yes, yes, yes. I love the 216 VP. My mum's friend had one in the late 1980s and my sister had one in the early 90s (both were light metallic blue). That leather interior was a nice place to be 8) .

ONE OFF CHAMBERS SPECIAL FIBREGLASS CAR

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMC-ONE-OFF-C ... 415ef5d5dc

I love it (obviously) but the seller is having a laugh. This was for sale on Retro Rides a few months ago for £400 iirc, and people weren't exactly falling over themselves to buy it then. This chap has literally not even washed the thing since then, I don't understand how they can justify a £1,350 mark-up for collecting it off someone's drive and putting it in a garage, especially with something like this which has no market value beyond what someone is willing to pay at this particular moment in time. It's not even pretty!

I still would though, natch

Edit: Having compared with the old photos, it seems this guy has fitted the rear 'screen and one of the rear side windows, so I (sort of) take that back. He hasn't washed it though.

Bitchin! I played for St. X, but found cars and girls too enticing before I got onto the varsity squad. Oh well. Making up for it as a coach! Got to see The Domers play Boston College in South Bend one year - truly psycho. But NOTHING beats Ohio State vs. Michigan week. If you come back sometime, we'll goof off. Plus, quite a bit of auto racing tat around here, bike museum, USAF museum, many cool things.... Indy is 3 hrs away too.

Will take you up on that m8 if I ever get over again, one of Cameron's 2.7 million at the moment thanks to redundancy

If St X is St Xavier it was them I saw give Mentor a beating in the snow at Canton !!! 'WHERE IS MEN-TOR ?'

Lot of layoffs here too. Hopefully better will come of it all. Maybe we'll start being a manufacturing civilization again? I hope.

Yes, St.X is St. Xavier! My alma mater. Mentor is a Lake Erie bedroom community on the outskirts of Cleveland OH. So you saw a Cincinnati vs. Cleveland battle, between two fairly well-to-do schools.

Cool !

The St X fans just constantly chanted 'Where is Mentor ?' at the cold, disappointed and P'd off Mentor fans for 3 hours :mrgreen:

Cor that 25k XM is da bomb. Surely thats one to buy and stash away.

This 55k 320 coupe looks nice. The strange thing about this one is the dashboard stereo blanking plate is still in place.

Whats amazing about this is 1: BMW still didn't put a stereo in as standard in the mid 90's. 2: Some miserable bastard not only spec'd this without a stereo but drove around in silence for 17 years.

Following on from the rotten KA thread this sports KA looked alright to me asit was cheap. Turns out it''s cheap cos it's a rusty wee spud. I recon I could fix it pretty easily as the filler repair panel's only £15 and it's supposed to be pretty straight forward to do but it's still a little too salty for my tight wadness and who knows what lurks underneath.

I'd sooner talk about Ohio football than look at pictures of ghastly Swedish wedges but this is the ebay thread I suppose........
