"Barn find" shooting brake.

Argh! This might* be alright if it hasn't been battered to pieces by being driven over speed humps in this state.

Not a happy chappie (not that I blame him)!!

*IMPORTANT! Do not do any dealings with EBAY member '106-pug'. This f**king duesche bag will outbid you then ignore you when it comes to paying up. Absolute tosser. To make matters worse, i have an automated paypal account which meant i got a 20 quid charge for an advertisement that never was. This guy gets a rather scary 'non payment' registered against his 6 month old profile! You naughty boy, no gold star for you! What a load of crap when what he has done is essentially illegal. Be clear, you bid again you pikey bastard and I will pay an investigator to track your IP address and you and me will be alone somewhere and there will be an accident sustained on your part.

I love my Dolly, she's my pride and joy - but you should not own a classic car unless you A) are a mechanic or B) a want to be mechanic or C) Have time on your hands for a beautiful hobby.

Well I am no mechanic either, but even I would get this bit right!!

Drive up to Leicester to see friends (where she is currently moored) and, not checking my petrol meter, allow the tank to get low enough that the rust that sits at the bottom of most any 35 year old petrol tank, gets sucked through to the alternator? or the other bit that fires the timing for the engine which causes the car to break down. With these old motors it turns out there are two of them which makes it dually hard to sort the timing out and requires a certain timer tool - the likes of which left the young mechanic I tried to get to fix it, baffled (amateurs).

*SEXY MAESTRO ALERT*

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-MAESTRO-2- ... 3f0f30e374

How fit is that?

Fitter than Karen Trushel in tight pants.

I MUST read and re read auctions - upset the seller of the Not Mk2 Fiesta when I bid, realised it wasnt a rolling shell with no gearbox but just some seats and withdrew my bid.

Apparently he thinks thats my way of finding the reserve price out.

I never thought I'd type what follows....

That Maestro is bloody gorgeous and a right bargain. Mine was the twin of it, and I miss that car so much, even nearly 6 years later.

Bloody hell, did I really just say that? I must be ill.

But we don't know what the reserve is?? Or has the listing been changed?

This car was last used in 1985 and has been sat in the barn since. It belongs to a friend of mine who has now come to the conclusion, at 78 years of age, that he will not be driving the car again

This is only £195 now, i would cheerfully spend £195 on it. Unfortunatley its on the south coast and aint a-frameable so its got to be another £250 to get it home.. outta my league unf.

Where are you Mr Bo111ox? For something that awesome someone on here must be able to help. If you are near East Anglia I'm sure we could come up with some diesel and pasty only deal!
