Im a big fan of those lowlight MM's, there was a black one on RR which looked HOT.

I still think it would make a great daily for the money, especially with its peppy engine.

Ashmicro - is the guy with the A35 John Green from Newtownabbey? I think the registration starts VZ.

This is up for "proper" money but isn't it the nicest looking Gamma you've seen!

Hmmm, that things been doing the rounds for ages...here it is for sale last year...

Then it appeared recently at Anglia Auctions..... twice...(the first time it broke down and was withdrawn from sale)

Here's an ad from Volkszone, it's all in caps and no paragraphs, but the gist is that he's got a RHD South African Beetle, an SP1600. Now these were a bit tasty with twin carbs as standard and the older style chassis even in 1978 from Wolfsburgs old tooling.

Porn if you like old VWs

Let's take a few bits from the ad

FLOORPAN AND BODY SHELL ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY MINOR WORK TO FINISH

That sounds encouraging

THE ONLY WORK LEFT TO DO IS FIT THE REAR VALENCE AND BUMPER HANGERS AND PART OF N/S INNER WING

Basically a weekend's work I reckon. Sounds good, I wonder if now's the time to buy another old Beetle?

IM OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS

Great! But VZi doesn't work like that (a good thing IMHO), you've got to put a price down if only as a starting point.

£2500

Wow, that's too rich for me. Still, a nice car and I'd quite like to have one. Want to see how it looks?

Oh, hang on. That's a picture of another one. Here it is, for £2500

This is local, and would benefit from a 200TDi swap. Bet it goes for more than I've got to spend, and I don't have a great history of buying cars while Mrs GarethJ is away on holiday :?

Bid on these lovely Poundland fake BBS wheel trims - get a Scirocco GT2 for free!

Rover 827, with added boot space. Lots of it.

Wonder if the Poundland fake BBS's would fit this? It would definitely be 10% faster, and 23.2% sexier. And the resale value's beyond doubt.

^Dunno, my bro-in-law was impressed enough by it, to claim he'd use it to 'ride around and beat up midgets'. It's either a reference to Jackass, or the combined works of Keith Moon and Viv Stanshall. I'm not sure, gonna leave that elephant right there in the middle of the living room where it is!

Actual real live ROFFLES. I can see his point though (or is it just the cut of his trousers)

that Maserati looks amazingly clean for a spares car...and the parts must be worth something in Italy if not the UK (excellent excuse for a shite-hunting mission!). I may be tempted if it stays so cheap (then I will be banging my head against the wall due to the fact that I haven't even found a house yet, so no storage space...).
