That early MG Metro was, until very recently, always parked outside a house near Earls Court. They have cleaned it up pretty well, but it has got some pretty serious paint issues going on.

This sold for £700 in 2008 IIRC with MOT and tax. Was suggesting to the girl I was seeing at the time that I was going to get it and she said she would refuse to set foot in it. In hindsight I should have bought it. It would have saved a lot of hassle in the long run.

 

Need to get rid of those wheels though. Would maybe look at my finances an have that it if was a runner but as I keep saying I need to get shot of the GT6 before I buy anything else......

THE AMOUNT SPENT IS £14000 APPROX WITH RECIEPTS TO SHOW.

 

nitrous needs feed pipe repair,water pump leaking,hydraulic pump union leaking very slighty,electric door opening switch faulty on rear,exhaust rubber mounting broken,suspension ram needs refitting to mounting as owner lifted it up to gain access to batteries in boot,playstation etc needs wiring in properly.

 

The fuggin mind boggles! £14k!!!! WHAT A SHITBOX

I used to drive one of those Mercs (508D, 1978) with a long alloy dropside on it. It makes me so happy to be able to use the past tense! Anyone seen SKD 428T being cut up? Please?

Unusual to see such an early version of those Merc vans. The later ones are still pretty common on my manor as they make GR9 travellers homes. There is one very early silver one too that I was trying to get a shot of for ages. IIRC it's not quite as old as that one according to the reggo, but it LOOKS like it's older...

That looks like the sort of thing which would turn on an episode of Cops and involve the shirtless driver "bailing out" and trying to escape over a chain-link fence for no apparent reason.
