I'll be coming in my 1997 micra. My first long car journey was from the midlands to Wales in a J reg hand painted mini clubman with an 1100cc engine and very short ratios. I'd just passed my test in 1988. I'm hoping to recreate the journey in the micra for shitefest

With it having been deemed fit for the road for another year, I may bring along the world's most ridiculously loud camper van.  Not exactly looking forward to the idea of no air con at that time of year but will survive!

Would probably drive over Saturday, stay over that night and head back on Sunday.

Potentially, yes.

So far, I only have the Friday night off 1 job so looking more likely that I'd arrive on Saturday so an extra day would be handy, just in case. I've put my name down for the 15th off but don't think I'll know until nearer the time if I'm allowed to take it or not.

This one is gas tight, but is an eBay special which turned out to have no baffles in the silencer...

As for a race 78bhp and not far off 2.8t...I suspect I would very much lose!
