We've probably all heard of or at least seen the Mitsuoka Viewt,

but have you taken a moment to feast your eyes on the full range?

The back catalogue reveals a few more stunners*

The latest version of this one is basically a Riley Elf version of the Perodua Kelisa!

This one is merely a concept, but could actually be quite good. Presumably MX5 based...

Saw this in Theydon Bois two or three years ago. Was sure I took one of the front but can't find it now.

There’s something about taking different cars and making them all look like mk2 jags……. Crazy.

No. Just no.

According to their website, in 2019, they "Received a letter of appreciation from the University of Tokyo, Gravitational Wave Observation Research Facility of the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, for cooperation in the construction of the Large-scale Cryogenic Graviationai wave Telescope Project also known as "KAGRA".

Could you, please, continue with Large-scale Cryogenic Graviationai wave Telescopes and refrain from designing cars? Thanks.

It's way too close to breakfast to be looking at images like that.

I’m sure there was one on eBay that had been bumped and the modification seem that have been done with fibreglass and foam.

Mitsuoka cars are beautiful compared to this

It's not as awful as the first Juke Joke.

I wouldn't necessarily buy one, but I do admire the fact that it's a whole business built out of looking at a perfectly ordinary car and thinking 'what if...?'. And then carrying it out, and then finding people who will buy the results.

People give the Joke and the Quashqi stick, but they're the perfect an car that's for people who don't care about cars. It's probably what saved Nissan from that period of the late 2000s where they were making nothing that was selling well.

Absolutely... A car maker's gotta do what a car maker's gotta do, if there's a massive global corporation at stake: I'm just glad there's a place for the dreamers and oddballs. They'll never be in the big leagues like Nissan, but that's okay.

And there's jobs in it for folks here despite Brexit.

Jesus Harold Christ.

That looks like someone's tried to do the same thing they did with the Ssangyacht™ but using a 1930s Packard and an 1993 Civic.

Still better than a Beauford or Excalibur.

And surely that is a pisstake from one of the Grand Theft Auto games?  Even the buildings in the background match San Andreas perfectly.

There's a Mitsuoka dealership in Effingham.

Went past it on Saturday, there were a couple of roadsters out the front.

Have they ever actually sold one?

I saw the thread title and immediately got excited that some lunatic on here had actually gone and bought one of these things.

Does anyone on here own one..?

One of my dream cars. High up the list if I win the lottery.

Chap I bought my Elka Space Organ from has a Viewt. Was very enthusiastic but also very realistic about it, just loved how quirky it was.

Where else would you have it. A suitable Carry On name.

Am I falling in to some kind of Autoshite trap......

orochi_ph02.jpg

I quite like the Orochi - like a proper supercar but more shite.

The Viewt was available on the K11 & K12 Micra platforms.

I rather like the K11 based one.  They might look a bit daft but I think they're rather cool in their own way.

I rather like the Riley Elf-esque Ray, shame it doesn't have an illuminated Mitsuoka badge like Wolseleys used to have but I suppose they're illegal these days. Looking at this I wonder what my Saxo would look like wearing one of the VP1500 grilles that I've got in the garage?
