Fuck buddies. That's what I understood it as.Anyway, I think I've killed my booster pack. Everything still works, but the wee LEDs that say how much is in the battery remains on zero after an evening of charging. I ran it down to 50% getting the Celeste to brum one evening and I left it after that rather than charging it back up again. I think I've destroyed the cycling that's left in the battery.

Yep - tap was the first thing I looked at, fuel is coming out in both On and Reserve positions.

I just made the mistake of having a look on the Fiesta Mk1 forum and have caught up with my old Mk1. I see it already has alloys fitted, look like off a rwd Ford as the offset is wrong and the new owner is looking for an old fashioned roof-rack (so soon it will look like all the others). What did upset me slightly is that in bigging himself up about how much work he has put in on the car, he says that the front end of the car was "rust central".Considering how original and unmolested it was, I don't think the rust around the passenger headlight and a bit on the front valance made it rust central, that was the only rust on the car, it was bloody solid and in amazing condition for a 30 year old Ford.I have to remind myself that it's no longer my car, I just wish I hadn't sold it. (Particularly to someone who appears to be a twat)

I know your username from that forum -me and someone I know whose restoring a Mk1 (to original condition) joined that forum last year, and we don't bother with it much since it's seems full of this sort of 'OMG lets mod it to the max Classic Ford Magazine sort of crap', although there seems a few folk who like original ones but look like they are minority. At least you have looked after it in it's final years, the next thing for it will be the insides to be ripped out, roll cage to be fitted, then a Zetec engine put in, it'll go on eBay for £5000 described as a original Mark One Fiesta.
