If you think that Van Hool is too cheap, this thing off of the tat thread only made a monkey - and it's car licence age too.

Priced my car at £3250, it's not worth that, but i'm gonna get lowballed. Personally I think it's worth £3k.

"I'll give you £2500"

as a deposit?

"£2600, it needs alot of work*"

Enjoy your 2 hour ride home... without my car.

*Backbox outer skin corroded (Not blowing) and needs 2 rear bumpstops.

I forgot to add

"How far away are you from the sea? It causes rust"

Last time I checked, we all lived on a fucking island.

Almost certain I can get storage for a coach (at a cost) so that's not a problem. It's just everything else!

Had a weird evening.

Parked the Piazza at work to go for dinner with folks in town.

Came back and the waste paper wheelie bin was on fire. The same person had also decided to take a pop at the Piazza and tried to snap one of the headlamp eyebrows off.

Could have been worse - they could have torched it. The metal connector held firm but they've snapped the plastic hinges in half so it flaps around.

Luckily my spares car, HUL, came with a spare white bonnet. I haven't popped the bonnet so plod can pretend to dust for prints; it depends if they've done any damage to the lifting mech underneath.

Sorry to hear this, why cant people leave things alone. Vandalism is so annoying and can be bloody expensive as police usually cant help without proof.

What the fuck am I doing looking at storage in the Greater Glasgow area? It's not like I've got enough other problems.

Well this is fun. Accelerator cable just snapped on the m40, and whilst the new one is in the boot, I cant really fit it on the hard shoulder...

Being a fool who likes to live on the edge, I did this once to a Reliant Kitten on the M1 somewhere around Milton Keynes. About 12 minutes in shit weather and good to go. Fuck leaving it on the hard shoulder for 5x as long + waiting for the AA.

I've changed wheels on the hard shoulder before. Not as scary as doing it on the verge on the A90.

Now that I've noticed it, I'd like to add my annoyance at Dugong's car being vandalised on multiple levels - firstly he's a personal friend of mine, secondly it's a car I very much admire and have driven with a big smile on my face, thirdly it'll inexplicably annoy Tucker Jenkins over there. Job difficulties? Nobody cares about mine either and I don't really expect them to! Relax.

OP has valid moan about vandalism

No response from sleeping/disinterested members.

OP complains about lack of sympathy for him. Previously sleeping/disinterested figure they better humour the OP so respectable number of posts made.

Another member points out that not all tales of shit luck draw sympathy. (I took basic message as 'Life is like that...relax')

Another member then comes along telling 'critic' to 'relax' and implies OP had been bullied?

Didn't make me grumpy as such........... Hard hard donned as unable to find my cloak of invisibility

Me and another car in front already on a roundabout, a hearse carrying a coffin doesn't bother giving way leaving no room for the family following to pull out. They then stop so they can catch up but it's a 50 MPH road, forcing me and the other car to overtake from 0 onto the wrong side of the road with solid traffic coming the other way. Top driving, mate, not to mention I felt like a right arsehole for getting in the way of someone's funeral.

We'll good to know I was being called a bully in a round about way, I'll be after his dinner money next then or I might chuck his bag in the bog :-)

You're confusing Tucker Jenkins with Gripper Stebson.

I'm just confused about everything all the time; did I take my tablet, have I had my dinner, etc.?

Is there really a motoring section on mumsnet? Is it full of posts starting, my husband spends all his time on a car forum being encouraged to buy horrible old cars as projects, we've got seven now, but nothing works long enough to get the kids to school

How can anyone be pissed off that Jon's pissed off about his car?

It's vandalism and it's a shit thing to happen, anyone would be cheesed off to find that on their own car.

^its the sort of thing that pisses me off.

peeps today just don't give a shit about anything but them selves.

if , IF you can stand the taste of the friggin' stuff, thats good for mouth ulcers.

my grandmother who wore dentures used some stuff called "tincher of mercury" which burned any mouth ulcers into submission.

its also toxic, in quite moderate amounts and as such its not now available.

Someone sprayed "RYAN" on my Leon's windscreen in blue paint after I had it for six days. Was monumentally fucked off until I saw someone had sprayed "RYAN IS A C@NT" on my neighbours windscreen (also had a Leon so case of mistaken identity)

Made Ryan get up and clean it as it was obviously his psycho ex who did it and was pleasantly surprised how easily the paint came off the screen. See if the silly bint had prepped the surface properly (sand, degrease, prime, shake well, etc) it would have been more of a problem.

If I looked out my window at 7am and saw a stranger polishing my car bonnet I'd probably tell them to FRO as well to be honest, i'd assume that they were an escaped mental patient
