Had a weird evening.

Parked the Piazza at work to go for dinner with folks in town.

Came back and the waste paper wheelie bin was on fire. The same person had also decided to take a pop at the Piazza and tried to snap one of the headlamp eyebrows off.

Could have been worse - they could have torched it. The metal connector held firm but they've snapped the plastic hinges in half so it flaps around.

Luckily my spares car, HUL, came with a spare white bonnet. I haven't popped the bonnet so plod can pretend to dust for prints; it depends if they've done any damage to the lifting mech underneath.

This does not surprise me at all. In fact thinking about it every manager I've ever had bar one (who also had her moments) have been an utter twat that licks hugher managements arse like there's no tomorrow.

As you can see I'm cut out for the corporate world :-)

Have you got any pictures of her momentarily licking arse like there's no tomorrow?

Car Insurance £270 per year pre non fault accident (hit by driver who drove off, despite cctv and plate Police couldn't trace him and he wasn't on the MID)

Car insurance £340 post accident. Grumble grumble but c'est la vie

Today's renewal £699. Despite a clean year and no changes, the cost has more than doubled. I R CONFOOZED

Money supermarket search finds me a policy for £327, and loads under £400. Do the insurers not think we shop around? Now got to go through the bollocks of changing insurer unless Mrs P calls our current one and gets that price right down....

I have never paid £699. Even as a 17 year old I never paid anything near that number. Maybe my area has suddenly become a hotbed of criminal activity??

Glad to see it's not just me. Its well known what she is like, unfortunately the people that can do something about it are oblivious to it. I'm holding on until June in the hope we get a bonus of some sort and then my wife pointed out that I have quite a few holidays in between then so it's only a few weeks really. 1st of June I will be firing out my already up-to-date CV like there's no tomorrow 😀

I have been in this situation a couple of times and rang the current insurer to tell them how cheap I could get it. Each time they either matched the price or came so close I didn't bother changing. Why can't they just give a competitive quote in the first place?

I'm gutted for you, and don't understand the mindlessness of the damage but between your posts there was 9 hours when most people are asleep and then at work.

Fucking car... (you all know which one!) has now decided to throw a fit on the seat! Move the drivers seat switches and the mirror moves, move the mirror switch and the mirror moves.... the seat doesn't!

New seat ecu required.

Oh, and when I called Specialist cars, they told me that ia m a 'pauper' compared to their usual clientele!

Note, they were joking and it was said in jest.

Not nice man. What is it with people these days? I swear some people just have no life whatsoever

Were any other cars damaged? I'm glad the Piazza came off lightly, it is a nice car.

Ah Peterborough. What a delightful place. I would have previously offered sympathy, but I've only just seen the post.

Fuck me, a man allegedly coming to look at Panda tonight, so I'll get the tyres fitted.

They're taking them to another tyre shop because spigots too big or something, I dunno.

Sat here in a freezing cold reception. And they're gonna charge me because they don't have the equipment...

Yeah, somewhere.

NO RAFFLES FOR DUGONG.

We'll yeah it's pretty unfortunate that someone's damaged your car I don't think it's quite on the scale of car crashes and stuff that recently been happening to bub. But I'm sure if you needed it we'd all be helping you exactly the same.

But if your moaning, grow the fuck up, it's minor damage to your car. Last I posted that I've just been refused a job after they've dicked me about for the last 3 months and got me fired from my then job. No one said fuck all when I posted it. Thing is I didn't expect them to I was pissed off having a rant (very much like this one)

Just had a nosy at this at one of the local dealers...

77f783c6c1c077a3839f4fc768c75a23.jpg

... 1989 Volvo B10M Mk3, 6-speed manual, 51 very clean and unripped seats, centre sunken toilet, 5ish months MOT. Starts, drives, was a trade in for a newer Van Hool Volvo.

It's going for scrap in the next couple of weeks 'cos they can't be arsed trying to sell it. It'll probably drive to it's death.

The cost? A grand. One thousand pounds.

Needless to say I have neither a grand nor anywhere to put it, but what a fucking waste.

I'm so glad I've seen this post now, not, say, 6 hours ago otherwise I would have been lightly murdered by SWMBO.

Back in the day i used to tour guide on one of these, and a B10M Irrizar. Still remember the plate 6689 DP. Shame if thats scrapped looks clean from the photos.

That is ace. Thank fuck I do not have a grand or a suitable licence.

that coach going for scrap like that is a criminal waste. no other word for it, though i'm not at all surprised given the number of clean looking older cars on fleabay that are for sale for buttons, which look fine even if the registration plates have the wrong letter on them,

such is modern society.

its old, so chuck it away.

madness, and so wasteful, so where and how do i get off please?
