My conservatory is letting in rain like an SD1.

Never, ever buy a conservatory that has been put up and taken down - they just don't go together properly again.

Fourth no show for viewing the Triumph. That's four seperate people who have both failed to turn up and not bothered giving any sort of explanation.

Ā

Can't be arsed with timewasters. Thinking of slinging a tarp over it for winter and just leaving it 'till the 1300 is finished...

Captain_70s you should take it as a sign to keep it

Bit of a crap week, beginning with no hot water on Monday morning so I took a day off work to wait for an engineer yesterday. I was supposed to get a call in the morning to give me a time slot, then I can pop out and ensure im home at an agreed time.......but no call from the engineer he justĀ rolls upĀ at 2.30pm. FFS I could have made good use of the day until 2.30 instead of sitting aroundĀ indoors.

Ā

Neighbours - New people moved in to one ofĀ the neighbouring flats, their Polish and have a some big horrible dog. Obviously the rules of 'No Pets' doesn't apply to them. Well bollox to that, I have told their landlord and the management company because it looks and sounds bloody horrible and I dont fancy meeting it. Besides a large dog should not be couped up in a 1 bed 1st floorĀ appartment all day.

Ā

Fellow road users - Popped out yesterday after 3pm which is school run time,Ā I had a woman inĀ some MPV thing sitting on my back bumper at 50mph (50mph limit) with her small kids in the car, then some biddy changes her mind at a mini round about and nearly takes me out, then a bloke in a truckĀ that assumes im giving way to him so he pulls out and almost collides with me.

Ā

I do not envy people that use the roads in theĀ morning and afternoon rush hour. I'd rather continue getting the train to work and let the self important 'in a hurry' fuckers all get on with it.

Front pipe broke on the way home, luckily i had an old pair of trainers in the boot. Nicked a lace for a quick fix, wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't pissing down so bad.

Fingers crossed it'll weld or i can nick one from one of the scrappers in the yard at work.

Waiting for paint. To be honest I am beginning to think it may not happen - I have had it five years and life keeps getting in the way.

My modern is in main dealer. One week and will warranty direct commit to paying bill, not fecking yet. Who done the last service? Main dealer. Who mot'd the car? Main dealer. Why has the part broke? It is a sealed part and has suffered electrical failure. Can you diagnose exactly? No its a sealed part and even if I broke it open with a hammer I wouldn't be able to tell. These are the questions they have asked the workshop manager. I cant wait for It to be done cos i will then tell them to feck off cos its getting part exchanged. But i need It fixing cos of warning lights on dash. Not a good bargaining tool.I am sure they will find a reason to renage on the policy if they keep going long enough.

Sounds like what you need is a nice Vauxhall Belmont.

Had that flu jab for the first time a few weeks ago. For years people were banging on at me to have it, so I finally caved in. What a waste of sodding time, I can't remember having so many cold/flu symptoms since I've had it, this last one has been over a week now and I still feel dreadful.

Anyone got a douvrin?

How? What happened? How ironic that we were just talking about engine swaps/engine overhauling for the CitroĆƒĘ’Ć‚Ā«n CX.

I've just given myself a fright.Ā  (Not difficult, I've always been scared of my own shadow...)

Couple of weeks ago a bubble appeared in the bedroom ceiling.Ā  Dragged the stepladder upstairs to get at the loft hatch but I still couldn't reach.Ā  Today I remembered where the other stepladder was, and dragged that upstairs.Ā  It's tall enough so I can open the hatch and get my head and shoulders in, but not enough that I could actually hoist myself up.Ā  Got my head and shoulders inm torch in hand looking around, and the ladder slipped from under my feet.

Fuck me, am I glad we had social services send someone round to fit handrails, and that I had the sense to tie the ladder to the one across the landing.Ā  The ladder fell, but not completely, so I was able to lower myself enough to scramble off.

I hate heights!Ā  I'm not even happy in thick socks!

There are loads of little chinks in the slates, but none that would explain the "bubble."Ā  Don't know what the issue is, going to have to Have A Man In.Ā  Without exception, whenever that happens, there will be a bill several dozen times what I can afford.

Ā

This all happened nearly two hours ago and since then I've had a cup of coffee, a Mars bar and a read of AS, and I'm still feeling shaky.

Ā

Ā

Fuck fuck fuckitty fuck.

Beko I'm currently working as junior doctor in paeds and spend quite a lot of my time putting cannulas into tiny kids. It's horrible for us; making a baby in our care cry, but I can only imagine how awful it must be to watch as a parent.

The only consolation is because Bronch is just a virus, Charlie should clear it himself, you just have to support him through it. This years a really bad Bronch year, and we've had loads of kids in needing oxygen and feeding via oral tubes until they sort themselves out. But they do sort themselves out. It's just a waiting game, and providing the extra help he needs in the mean time.

Ā

You both have my thoughts.

Having got to waitrose in the 2cv there's a group collecting for the local food bank. Collecting for special Christmassy items. I bought them things I would like off their list- Christmas shortbreads and cheese biscuits. This isn't the grump. The grump is that this is Surrey in the uk. One of the richest countries in the world. Why is it needed?

All in it together my Arse.

Ā

I offered the helpers a bottle of wine but they said they couldn't accept.

Thanks! It wasnt too bad when it was happening tbh, I adpoted a 'it has to be done' stance and just comfortee him. But after 6 tries, when he was crying his little head off it was a bit much. The nurse doing it had tears too, I felt for her, she nearly got it once but the other nurse didnt hold him too well so it slipped out with claret everywhere.

Ā

Hes not too bad today. The oxygen tube is out and the heart rate machine is turned off, although only because every time he kicks his foot it goes mental. Amys just about to have some sleep for a bit

am going to get the rover serviced tomorrow, and while there i was going to get the chocolate coated monkey metal brake compensator thing changed for a super dooper stainless steel one obtained via the owners club.

Ā

i thought that i had put it in the glove box for safe keeping. as i got it sent out to me some months ago. i've just not gotten round to fitting it.

Ā

had the forethought to have a look and make sure the bit was where it is supposed to be.Ā

Ā

and its not there, had a hunt around the inside of the car and around the house.

Ā

fuck alone knows where that must be. the father in laws i think (hope?) as its not friggin' anywhere here!

Ā

Tiny CitroĆƒĘ’Ć‚Ā«n got a flat last week and the spare is basically an ornament due to age.

No big problem as I've got use of another motor and had planned to get new tyres anyway so ordered a pair from Tyre Leader on Sunday evening.

They finally reached the UK this morning but still aren't anywhere near here.

Not bad for 3 day delivery...

Where the fuck are my tyres you rubberhoop vending arseholes?!
