Still got 12 months of BT's shitty service, their daily pissing me off, and their SHIT website.

There's a button at the bottom of the mobile site that says, "Full Version", and funnily enough, if you click on it you get the full site.

I'm still unsure why the heading photo for Autoshite on Tapatalk is that of a Audi R8? Surely an Marina Coupe would be more suiting?

My brain is frazzled by the picture including a quote of the post that the picture is in.

Take some exercise if you can MrDuke, and try and achieve a small goal (even if it is just doing the washing up!) With me, positive actions seem to lend well to positive thoughts.

I have been trying to get into constructive routines, eating more healthily, going to the gym 3 times a week and getting out on the bike, which seems to help me stabilise mentally, if not actually improve. Unfortunately, the days when an angry obnoxious little shit takes up residence in my head and starts kicking the furniture around, are increasing in frequency, and the only thing that seems to get rid of him is alcohol (yes, I know all about the consequences of that). I'm once again on the waiting list for proper help, but I'm worried that I'll end up back on the seriously bad-ass medication that basically turns me into a fully-dependant junkie robot, which is no life at all.

Hell, why am I even whining about this on a car forum?

The angry little shit never leaves you but you MUST learn how to give it a clip round the back of the head when it gets too unruly up there.

If it's too zombie like on those meds. Ask for a different combination. They're plenty of combinations to try.

It sounds illogical but stay off the booze a bit. Its a depressant trigger amongst other things. (Well cut it down a bit, don't self medicate on it)

And lastly, stay on here and talk (over on the other channel maybe, apparently you don't have to talk about cars over there). Gets me through some shitty days. Someone on e here will be here to listen to you.

The lack of sunshine doesn't help. This really has been a crap month for it bar the last few days here in Welshland. I'm not clinically depressed by any means, but have been feeling rather glum of late. Getting out for a proper walk on Sunday, and working on the car outside for the past two days has really helped - even though the XM is being utterly crap. Hoping to squeeze one more roof-back hoon in the 2CV tomorrow as we head off to celebrate this new year nonsense. Weather may rule out such silliness.

French radio makes me want to swerve into oncoming traffic.

All stations are plagued by commercials and for some reason, they are all very shouty. The voice actors in the ads are all literally shouting at you to buy whatever shit they are promoting - Who ever thought that would be a good way to attract me as a customer?

The music? oh God....the music. France, being French, unsurprisingly has some laws in place that are xenophobic and against the idea of freedoms....basically its obligatory for all French radio to broadcast a minimum of 40% French origin music. Have you ever heard French music? its fucking terrible... And then there is the rise of French hiphop - Jesus Wept, thats bad

Yep, had to endure French music some of the time whilst out in France. What particularly hate is 50+ year old French blokes belting out ballads to sort of 80s Rock ballad type music. That offends me. Thankfully whilst I was out there, the radio in my area was under my control and we had an AUX port for the car's stereo system so shit music was almost always avoided.

Grump: Just been berated by Pa_Sterling over stuff. He thinks I've got too many cars and that I've wasted my money. It sort of brought me back down with a bang. I really need to force a change to my situation. I reckon some of my cars will be finding new homes at some point. Coupe still hasn't gone though so it ain't gonna be easy.

I disagree*... We all know that R8s are the thinking* man's supercar because they really are a bargain* priced Lambo Gallardo.

After all, everyone* needs a 500HP supercar to tailgate TDi repmobiles at 75MPH on the M25.

I said to my Maw the day "I've maybe got too many cars.."

Her response was "at least you're not sticking it in your arm!"

Good luck shifting the coupe but dont get too beat up about having a few old motahs

There's a white one near me and I'm going to say it looks awesome. Probably the only supercar I could drive without crashing in a ball of flame within half a mile as well

Ha! I was just about to say almost the same thing! And would add that the annonmity may help to get things off your chest that you may struggle to tell someone face to face? I'm afraid I can't offer any real advice but I'm certain that there are others here who've been in similarly shaped water craft who will be able to offer help.

He thinks I've got too many cars and that I've wasted my money.

Define wasted. If YOU feel the pleasure you get from your hobby is worth the price paid (bearing in mind that some of the expenditure is inevitable owning a vehicle), and no-one else is suffering as a result then I'd argue it's not a waste. Particularly as they ones you own do have a value if you should choose to sell - it may not be much at this point but is unlikely to fall lower.

Cheers, I like my cars but keeping them is becoming ever harder. The threat of storage loss is still hanging over me. The reason Pa was berating me is due to Lady_Sterling situation. He is right if I'm honest. Bringing Lady_Sterling over here isn't gonna be cheap nor easy.

To be honest I had wasted a good amount of money I'd saved up from France, one was in an agreement which was due to turn into D-reg Sterling which never happened. I'm coming to the conclusion that Rover 800s and I have had our time. The ones I have aren't getting any better and I was keeping them for silly reasons.

Bastard amazon genius time now.

It's 10:40pm, 30th December. He's bought 10 dice, £1.93 delivered to your door by 2nd class post.

Deliver faster enquiry: Can you deliver my order by 2nd January?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: Yes. Come and fetch them. I'm sure it's a nice drive from darkest Wales to Yorkshire.

LS - I'm having to learn that moving on from one type of car is wise. Granted I only seem to have moved from BXs to XMs, but even that is done accepting that XMs are just another phase. There's also a lot to be said for keeping fleet sizes sensible. One person shouldn't feel obliged to 'save them all.'

I've pissed up more than most on crap and not crap cars. By now, I most definitely would have bought a nice three bedroom house or two if I hadn't spent it on "I wonder what one of those are like - I know, I'll go and find one and find out"

Do I regret it? Truthfully yes, sometimes but the knowledge in my head and the experiences I've had are frankly priceless.

I've a good woman by my side and a veg munching 26 year old estate parked outside but very little else. That's good enough.

Cheers lads, I know I'll reach a comfortable situation at some point and I guess I needed a kick up the arse from Pa as its something that's been on my mind. The storage situ was an absolute ideal one, but another situation has befallen the owner which has effected me otherwise I'd keep the cars. They are safe and most importantly dry, cleaned and run every now and again.

I'm glad I had my times with the 800s, at times they were the only things that kept me smiling.

Of course Lady_Sterling is far more important to me now, I have a huge amount of stuff to do, pay for dowry, visa, flights etc... then of course I've got to find somewhere to live. It ain't gonna be easy but for some unknown reason, I reckon I can do it, I reckon all will fall into place, it's just a matter of time and test of patients, but I've got to force a move and my some of my 800s may have to move on...

Speaking from my own rather limited experience LS there comes a time when cars have to give way to the right lady, they can exist together, don't get me wrong but number one priority has to be, well number one in your affections, I made the right decision many years ago and am so happy that I did,

In case you are wondering I am happily married with just one car, I know that doesn't work for everybody but thats why we are all different

Man can not live by rovers alone!

Well id have an Audi R8, call me a fucking psychotic self-abusing Judas if you like but I would.

There's an Audit TT near here that some CACK HANDED OAF has modified to look like an R8. Awful.

Surely the Autoshite equivalent of an R8 would be one of those Metro-based Banham TT things modified to look like an R8...

I've never driven an R8, but I expect them to be effortlessly fast and remarkably refined. As this is the exact opposite of what I seek in a car, I'd never have one.

I'd certainly have a Banham X99, though :

Back in the days when I was a young, bus travelling youth, I often wondered about what first car I'd have like to have. When I heard about the Banham X99, I seriously considered one. Definitely better than the usual chod and certainly different. Well, thats what I thought at the time...

Course, I would've been looking for one that looked like this;:

I'd have an R8, no worries, and I'm not talking Rovers!

Errr, Renault?

I'm sure there are more interesting things you could buy for the money, like a house...
