LOL!

Sorry Frank :?

I used to know a guy who would spend all day Sunday avoiding the result, but with no valid reason for not just watching the race live!

I have just seen the most stupid act on the road eva!

some dick was just tailgating me so close when I looked in my rear view mirror I swear I could see his fillings in his back teeth!! I slowed down a little as I never speed up for these twats. He then overtook literally a few yards ahead of a total blind bend!! What an utter grade A bellend. It was a newish Poojoe (208 or something like that) Then proceeded to speed off in a 30mph zone.

On Friday on the way back from work there was a guy in a Golf GTi too important to wait in a queue of traffic to get to a petrol station on the other side of the road so just drove at 70mph up the wrong side of the duel carriageway to get to the petrol station 500 yards up the road.. That's the worst thing I've seen in a long time.

Car "buyers". I know it's a bit of "same old same old" but there you go.

Guy said he was collecting the Astra on Friday, only because I wouldn't let him take it when he viewed it on Tuesday as I needed it for work. Seemed a decent sort so I (stupidly) didn't ask for a dipper.

He didn't show.

Tonight, someone else phones. Asks a few questions then does the old best price thing. Told him to view then offer. He took my address and said he'd be an hour. Five minutes later, I get a text.

"Need your best price mate"

I reply "how much have you got?"

Bearing in mind it's advertised for £695 and shiters price is £550.

His reply? "400?"

Never mind. Someone on here PM'D to say he wanted it but couldn't afford it till end of the month. I've replied and he can have it. I'd rather wait for the money than deal with these knows.

Why do I do this?

Verbatim texts in response to an advert recently which clearly stated a price to sell quickly (£800) rather than break and gave values for the parts to show that someone could buy it and break it for profit:-

"Best price m8?"

"Thanks for your enquiry. As advertised. I'm not going to fall out with anyone for £25, but it really needs to be the advertised price. It has a good value as a breaker and we're running a business, and will easily get 50% more than the asking price quickly breaking it"

"£500 cash later tonight"

"Thanks for your offer, but no thanks. As I said earlier it really has to be very close to the asking price. "

"Fuck you then."

Charming.

Sold the next day to a chap who had phoned, arranged delivery, took delivery and paid in the space of two calls and two hours.

Once again that's why I don't put my 'phone number on adverts, you just end up wasting credit on penniless knob warblers.

Had my gamertag, "Dickland" banned by Xbox Live because, presumably, they consider it to be profanity or of a sexual nature.

I'd like to change it to something else from the awful default one they've given me, but am being charged £6.50 for the privilege. It really annoys me that they charge you for them banning something inoffensive. I was hoping to whinge at them and get it changed for free, but looking at the Xbox forums there's lots of people who have had their tags forcibly changed, asking if they can change it for free, and the "Enforcement Team" just say "That'll be $9.99 please".

Fuck sake, I pay £40 a year for this account. Wouldn't mind so much if they did something about the hackers online, but there's so many people running around invisible on COD MW3 I guess they just don't care.

I don't have much idea what Angrydicky is on about, but feel that he needs to change his username here to AngryDickland.

I think someone has hacked Angrydicky's account.  I can't marry up COD and Austins unless it's someone getting very excited about battered fish at a British holiday resort.

I've just learned that 'Snappy', one of the best examples of the Princess out there, met the back of an Audi A4 this weekend.  It's made a mess.  http://leylandprincess.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=917

I'm glad the plan is to repair and return to the road, parts are going to be a nightmare as it's bust just about every difficult part to find.  At the least he'll need a wing, bonnet, front valance, headlight brackets, radiator, bumper, sidelight-indicator units and front black plastics, if the damage goes deeper it could be terminal in spite of best intentions.

I live in hope, he's part of the team that took on the ex-Glover shed of a Princess which is well on its way to returning to the road now.

Bugger that link doesn't work you have to be registered. I want to to sulk at a damaged Princess. :-(

^^ Not that lovely yellow one with the alloys?  Feck  :(

balls... I didn't want to just repost his pictures here... I thought that part of the forum was open.  He's on Faceache but I don't have the details so that doesn't really help does it?

@chaseracer:  yep, that one.

The ST? Aw shit, that was beautiful - well, as far as wedges go.

I Do hope it has a recovery, preferably a speedy one.

I was given a COD each for the Austin Metro, the 205 and the Cavalier, and despite being £60/tonne better off, I'm still grumpy.

Fuck this weather. Came very close to having a full blown asthma attack when I got in (which I haven't had since I was eight).

Luckily I found my blue inhaler which kicked it arse into next week.

The raffles seem to be a Northern thing - need someone in this area of the country to have one

You mean you wouldn't be willing to travel too far for a £5 car?!

I have just worked out that I have no spare cash at all this month coming, not a bleedin bean

This gives you the 'opportunity' to get inventive with any junk that you have lying around that you have not used recently. Necessity can be the mother of great invention.

Parked the vectra in morrisons this morning. Came back to find a brand new corsa parked next to it. In 17 years have cars really swollen that much? Vectra was longer but the corsa looked just as wide and taller. I reckon a new astra would be about the same size as a vectra b.

More like flog some scrap to the dedicated loser fest known as the bay of E - needs must etc.....

post his number up...

I actually deleted it, specifically so that I wouldn't be tempted to send him abusive texts, nor sign him up for some dubious 'dating' site, nor ring him at increasingly unsocial times feigning a foreign accent and abuse him, all from an untraceable pay as you go phone that I had bought for £10 purely for that purpose.

The thought never entered my head.

UPS smashed up a vacuum cleaner I posted. Despite me using a tenners worth of bubble wrap on it until it looked like a giant weeble, they broke it. 8 days later, Interparcel (the agent I booked it through) tell me that because I didnt use a box, it's covered under their terms and condition that I certainly* read, despite me senging tens of cleaners like this before.

Fucking bastards. Expecting a package of scrap back at mums soon

A tenners worth of bubble wrap? It must have been massive! UPS probably saw it as a challenge.
