Hazel is targeted because she wants to park her car on her own drive, and CND have to walk an extra few feet if they leave her drive clear so they block her in regularly. Come on, turn that frown upside-down. If someone draws a penis on your car, be thankful they didn't draw a car on your penis! AnnoyingPentium, Mally and GrumpiusMaximus 3

Not long ago, I was doing 2 weeks of jury service, so walked the mile to my local Miseryrail station, to get the train to Liverpool. Could barely stand up on the pavements. Got to the station and found all trains were delayed. Very delayed. Went back home and got my wife to phone up, to say I might be late, and couldn't open the doors of my car due to the ice. So went in the MX5. Obviously everyone else was driving in too, so instead of arriving at 9 I arrived at 11. Not a problem, because most of the other jurors (100 ish) and most of the judges and barristers, had had similar problems. Ice on the points at Sandhills (ironic name for a place with no sandhills - It's more bomb crater) Apparently the trains came back into service at about 2pm that day. Still most of the time Miseryrail us actually a decent service.
GrumpiusMaximus Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Maybe half an inch of snow in Dover. Not really a problem apart from all of the dickheads that don’t realise that you also need to clear the snow off your roof as well as your windscreen. Saw one twat with only half their windscreen cleared. I know Dover isn’t known for it’s learned, highly educated and considerate population but I swear the collective IQ has dropped 20 points in the last few years…
jakebullet Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Looks like there's a cunt problem at Mrs's flats now. Last week a parked yaris with the screen smashed n number plates missing. Today an ignis 2 spaces away has the same damage. Remspoor 1
chaseracer Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 I have been ill for a week now, I can't source the part to mend the Blingo, it's too bloody cold up here to work on it anyway, and now it's snowing. Thank you for listening to a slightly grumpy old man. Normal service will be resumed shortly, I hope. somewhatfoolish, 108 and Remspoor 1 2

Zelandeth Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Fscking fuel pump cut off didn't. Jacket, hands, watch, sweater, trousers and shoes all absolutely drenched in diesel. Yay! Today is being one of *those* days. myglaren, GrumpiusMaximus, AnnoyingPentium and 1 other 4
EyesWeldedShut Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 This and all the other lazy journalism on the BBC news website is really starting to piss me off - it's like they've entered into a tabloid journalism race to the bottom with the likes of Fox. WTF has weather warnings got to do with strikes? For a laugh - look up a BBC news article 15 years old or so - small pictures, big words, content. Now look at today's offerings? Banality. nomiST, AnnoyingPentium, Rocket88 and 1 other 4

It took four washes, two at 60C and one with a load of stain-removing spray to make the clothes acceptable again. What a ballache.

Fuck it off and read the news from Reuters, it's a lot more impartial and a vastly higher quality than the BBC. It pains me to say it, but BBC news content is now basically the quality you get from radio 1 newsbeat. Fuck it off and your life will become immeasurably better.

I think it's both. The BBC shouldn't have to try to compete directly with commercial stations, because, at it's core it is a different organisation. Tripe like strictly come dancing would get made by some commercial channel anyway, but decent quality factual and news programming is impossible to produce commercially. chodweaver, Ghosty, myglaren and 7 others 8 2
