I decided to put a mk4 Golf on Gumtree and Facebook as spares or repair- had no end of time wasters... makes me think about scrapping the bloody thing!

You're welcome!

As someone who's spent 3 years trying to put processes in the NHS where there were none, I'll let you take the credit.

Could be worse, could be Cannock. It’s Dordon anyway not Tamworth, to be fair it’s hard to type in part numbers with webbed fingers

Even with six of them.  But that's Chadsmoor...  ;)

scrapping

These words go hand in hand.

I put a lot of graft into buying up cheap trade ins from work, fixing them and reselling for a modest margin so we have a "pot" for any upcoming expenses.

This has put me in the dog house for "buying too many cars".

Can't imagine that it'll go down too well if I don't bother rebuilding the pot though.

We've got a contractor in currently & after two weeks he is sure he's never worked anywhere with absolutely no management before. We were discussing it today & the only time anything gets done is when we get sick of waiting & just do it anyway.

I get the same for Dysons, don't worry! Pulled £300 out of thin air over the last month for the annual holiday later in the year and got moaned at for the dc25 in bits drying in the airing cupboard. Might divert the next few machines funds towards my shitefest fund, holiday isn't until August anyway and I'm not even going (she's going with her friend and her kids, no men allowed, so I booked that week and the week after off work!)

What was that? You thought you’d try and make a few extra pathetic little pennies by selling your scrap car on Gumtree? AHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA!!!! And-and-and you thought (HA HA HA HA) you’d trust a guy to turn up with dealer plates and give you the right cash? AAAAAAHHHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA OH OH OH OH AAAAAAGGHHHH HA HA HA....

I hated Tuesdays already. But....

Southern?

There’s barely even 1 rack per carriage! Absolutely stripped to the bone to squeeze as many people in as possible. Horrible things.

They could easily make GX a much better service, fast between major towns and cities instead of just Brighton. Then again the timetables change in a couple of weeks. See what improvements* they bring

I'm not sure that that would be a shared plea across the forum Beko!

It looks great though.  However, I've been experiencing a rather prolonged out-of-wheels experience recently, which has led to a prolonged two-buses-to-get-to-work-at-7am, which means a 5am wake up.

Which means that Mr Hoker is a less than jolly chap.

Times is hard dude.

We'll see what comes up.

I love that it's so far north though.  That would be a serious draw for me.  If I had wheels.  And time, and cash etc etc

Are there other awful people going, or would I be the only one again?  ;)

Wow, several grumps in one night.  Not bad going hey.  I've barely scratched this thread in the past....

Oh bugger!

Any idea what happened?

Man I would hate to be in your shoes right now, I'd be beside myself

I hope it's a 99p fuse masquerading as a terminal fault

black mini wants, nay needs, a new clutch.....

getting it done monday.

and it took nearly half an hour to find the hubcap that fell off while out in it this afternoon.

always seems to be the same wheel too, o/s/f one, at least i hope that changing that wheel for the spare will stop it firing shiney steel discs of death hubcaps into the undergrowth or passers by.

Hit a major work deadline today, which was a challenge, but fun. Yay!

Now the laptop has clearly had enough and is randomly shutting off. I mean, I'm grateful it wasn't doing it a few hours ago, when workload was critical, but this sodding laptop has been a pain in the arse since I was a big enough twat to buy it (it was not the one I actually thought I was going to buy. Idiot).

It has required quite a lot of self-control to avoid just smashing the shitty thing with a hammer. It never fails to fail in one way or another. I know my laptops get a LOT of hammer, but this one has been almost as disappointing as the Advent I made the mistake of buying some years ago. Maybe I need another HP.

Ouch, just the pics look expensive, hopefully not terminal, always good to see something different on here and can’t imagine too many Bentleys making these pages.

This was my daughter's conclusion and is just the same at the university where she is currently working.

extremely frustrating to people wanting to actually get something done.

Well if you have a tent and such I have a spare front seat (planning to remove the rears to make my bed and have a 2 seater sports* car for the weekend) so if you can make it to oxfordshireshire...

Words cannot express how sad I am about xtriples grump though.

Hence I'm planning my escape route.

This was an ex corp Dell with an SSD and i5. It has been an utter crock of shit. It now is refusing to do anything, acting like it's overheating, but reporting a CPU temp of 47. Sod it. I need a break from it for a few days.

Dell... Enough said. What you need is a nice thinkpad *notbiased*

I'm sure Pillock will read this shortly and put his pc world hat on, that he stole from the store in 2005 or some such and offer practical advice
