My mam rang, some twats spraypainted my car.

 

Luckily it was only the number plate and wheel trim, petrol shifted it. But, because of the bastard Peugeot lion, paint is in the armpit of the lion and I can’t shift it all, plus the spray paint has marked the trim a little.

 

Anyway, thankfully they didn’t tag the actual car.

Ebay...someone just bidded my car up to an unrealistically high amount, look at the bidder, zero feedback signed up today

 

FFS, bid cancelled along with the 2nd highest bidder who only had 5 feedback and also had an unrealistically high max bid

 

What is wrong with these people, what do they get out of it?

Ebay is a real pain now as a seller. Had a "winning" bidder a couple of weeks ago that didn't pay, didn't respond to messages, didn't respond when I opened a case with Ebay. Why not just say you have changed your mind and don't want the bloody thing?

 

Current high bidder on another item of mine is someone who messaged me asking if I would ship to South Africa. No, that's why I made it a UK only listing. They haven't retracted their bid. Really hoping they get outbid (5 hours to go) otherwise that will be another arse ache.

This is after already being fucked about by someone on retro rides who agreed to buy and then went radio silence the day he was supposed to collect. Incidentally also a fairly long term member here so I wasn't expectong to be dicked around, but there ya go...

 

Selling a car is every bit as much of a ball ache as I expected it to be. If this goes south I reckon I'm just gonna yank the engine out and stick it in my mk2, then bridge the rest

I bought a battery for the granada. The round pole type because square pole type has now largely gone.

 

I also splashed out on two bosch adaptors. However I was not convinced it would work as + has a plate with various supplies bolted to it with not much room. I saw my arse and went back home and cooked a Sunday Dinner.

After putting my thinking cap on I took a power sander to the + clamp

This was done because feed to starter has a cross shaped tab.

 

 

I had to twist the block to get them on but it went together surprisingly well.

Car fired up straight away. It was a tad lumpy but even the tyres still had air in them.

Oil and filter next week then hibernation. Some granada porn -

I'm pretty sure I could turn a better profit flogging happy pills than the opposite, people want to be happy unfortunately many times this is at the cost of somebody else's happyness.

SD1 still will not start - clicking from starter even after key is removed. Not sure how to check if starter/switch/battery is at fault.

SD1 still will not start - clicking from starter even after key is removed. Not sure how to check if starter/switch/battery is at fault.

Do you have a set of jump leads? Run one from the engine to the battery earth to make sure it's not an engine-body-battery earth problem.

eBay snipers. They were tremendous when I used to use them. But trying to buy anything these days without using one seems impossible. I keep missing out on stuff by 20p.

My sd1 did this and it killed 2 starters as it would Jam on even with the key out the car.

On the third starter I got an auto electrician in and he found an issue with the ignition switch. He didn’t replace it though he fixed it but I don’t know what he did . No help really.

My grump is that I'm running out of time to fix the van before its retest. Got the welding done but still brake pipe to replace and the back brakes are still being a pain. It all has to be done now in the next couple of evenings outdoors in the dark and with snow forecast. It's not going to happen.
