Told you it’d be a go-er. Give it a service and a belt if it needs one and enjoy it.

It had a cambelt at 131k in 2018, currently on 146k.

I'll do plugs and leads etc and just drive it.

Just bought breakdown cover for it which is probably pointless, but better safe than sorry eh?

No, I'm getting a bit old for slammed cars. 😬

Off to Norfolk today, going to hire a boat and have a bimble along the broads.

Taken the Toyota, just because it's the nicest way to travel.

Starting to wonder what the point in having the Polo is.... 🤔

Had the lovely burble of a Perkins diesel as the soundtrack this morning.

No wipers to help you see where you're broadly bimbling?

Seems to be pot luck whether or not you get a wiper on the day boats.

No need for wipers today

Just got back.

Fuel economy averaged at 47.8, which works out at 42.5 I think, once accounting for the 10% over read on the speedo.

Happy days.

Picked up some wheel trims .

Didn't factor in how stupid they'd look...

The problem is, they don't really have a lip that extends out to the full 13 inch rim. So they're effectively 12 inch that fit on 13 inch wheels.

10 internet points to anyone who correctly identifies what they are from...

Micra K10?

They look very similar to wheel trims fitted to Metros/Maestros/Montegos (and the Audi 80 for that matter), but they had logos moulded on them.

You’ve really got me thinking here.

My 100 has similar wheel trims. I don't know of any 80s Audi that used a 13in rim? Something else from the VW stable? The Jetta?

Ooh, have I stumped the AS massive?

I got them because I like the Maestro trims, that @MorrisItalSLXmentioned.

But no, they aren't an Austin Rover product, nor are they German or Japanese.

Something very similar was on the K reg BX TXD i had (a run-out trim level to use up bits off the TZD and TZS models if ever there was one).

They looked wank on that, too.

Well done, you're both sortof correct, as I presume they're the same trim anyway.

These came from a Citroen C15 Romahome to be precise!

I love the Carina, great find and purchase, I thought the black steels looked good, can't believe how massive the tyres look with these trims!

Polo probably getting sold

First dibs go to these people

@yes oui si

@bunglebus

@leanycan

In that order.

If not, I'll put an advert up.

Thank you. I think, due to a sudden unexpected change in my circumstances means I'll have to bow out too. Shame, I think it's a great looking car.
