Missed a stop so had to rethink my route. Managed to figure it out so I still arrive on time. Phew.

In case anyone was panicking, I'm fine. Phone ran out of battery.

It's dog rough,but goes like a train.

Feels like 200k! But MoT'd until Jan 2020, so all good.

It probably won't stay long, you know me.

It would be £3.50 per ticket. :D

Just wondering, does this count as a 'Base'?

Keep fit windows, no central locking, no sunroof, and worst of all.... no wood inlays in the dash or doors!

Yeah I think that's the base model. Don't think I've ever seen one without bits of tree in it!

Well bought and not much to go wrong;

I thought my 214i with plastic tree on the dash but not doors and a sunroof was pretty base spec;

Obviously I was mistaken, Good luck with the sack cloth and ashes.

! I really really want a two-tone red and white R8 400 with gold alloys at some point soon.

Ah, a man of discerning taste.  Now, if you'd just like to step this way...

Sounds like it deserves a Morris badge ;)

Top purchasing,  R8s are GR8 I wish mine wasn't knackered.

Yes, the 218D was the most basic model.  It equates the the 214i (which succeeded the carburettored plain 214).

SD = Si (and has bits of wood)

SLD = SLi

Here's the 218D I owned for a while last year

I do have to make a choice, as I was sort of planning on 'crayoning' this one for Retro Rides this summer.

But if anyone wants to convince me otherwise, either cross my palm with £250ish or shush.

Ha ha, I didn't know of that definition!

Although in some people's eyes, modifying a car is the same thing

There was or is one of these on eBay in North Yorkshire - £1,200 or thereabouts. Piqued my interest anyway.

Top bombing though. :)
