Very likely I've done a Pea Roast.

But Dizzel powered Maestro Clubman with 11k on the clock.

Looks like it has Rover fleet plates judging by the wee badge on the corner.

A guy I used to work with reckoned his TD Maestro would quite comfortably sit at 95mph all day long- can anyone confirm this ?

I used to drive a Montego TD as a pool car. The speedo was a tad optimistic. 70 was nearer an actual 60.

Plausible, although he's probably deaf now.

Haven't seen one of these in ages. This one has a problem of the key not recognising the immobilizer (sp?) or the other way round. Would one of those mobile car key people be able to sort that?

PARDON?

TD Montenogo Estate would easily go over the ton back in the day.

Naturally Asthmatic Diesel Maestro van was good for cruising at 85, if your ears could stand it.

Speedo was reasonably accurate, Copper's  Speed Gun and the speedo agreed on what speed was being done...

I drive one of these regularly as it's the free loaner at my friendly garage.  In 1.3 tune they're quite spritely.  They're very sharp to drive, tight and responsive.  The Yaris was definitely a step forward in refinement but if I need a station car and have a bad MOT this week this would do me very well.
