A Suzuki GT500.

Looks to be a similar background to the picture of the GS550.

At a guess the person got their pictures mixed up and has corrected the mistake.

I had a GS750DB, toured quite a bit of Europe on it, till it was stolen in Edinburgh.

I don’t pretend to have the faintest idea about Redneck Racing, but surely a 1996 Astra is not ‘pre 90’? I assume that refers to date, given that banger types have a particular fondness for destroying old stuff?
