A £1,500 classic Mini that isn't dragged out of a canal, damp field, and dissolved into several crusty bits. A project, obviously, but I *think* that might be relatively cheap in the current market?

No pics of the abominable side windows where they have converted a van though.

This must have been pretty much top of the range back in the day. It's a real shame it's so far gone. IIRC, those stripes along the bottom indicated it was one of the last Cortinas as I don't think they were on earlier Mk5s.

Yes, a real shame. Top of the range for sure and late one with electric mirrors. Love the green interior too, alloys clearly long gone. RIP.

It was the top of the range, a 2.3 Ghia with all the options including automatic transmission, headlamp washers, S pack and metallic paint. If it had econolights and an ERST32P digital radio cassette it would be the full house and very nice in Crystal green. If I didn’t’t have so many cars I would buy this 😍

The three stripes at the lower level were on Ghia only from 1981 models.

All ghias got the triple coach line, that would've been expensive when new as it's got quite a few optional extras.

That will be hard/expensive to replace, sunroofs have been unobtanium since the 90's, spots same as escorts £££££, overriders hard to find, especially washer jet ones.

Will cost way more than it'll ever be worth to restore, parts car unfortunately.

I agree, it’s beyond saving, economically but I  agree with @Shite Ron, the stripes were later and not standard from the start of the Mk5 from their beginning

WTF is going on here? Listed as a GT500, but it's a 4 stroke with 4 cylinders and a Higgspeed exhaust, and they only seem to make 2T pipes.  Plus the side panels (and the whole bike) appear to be a GS550.

Whatever it is, I like it. Had 3 GS500E over the years, would have another
