Crazy that a 150-odd MPH bike is only £600.

That's an absolute bargain, especially with the fabled 1100 engine (beloved of tuners and drag bike enthusiasts). It's the equivalent of the CBR1000F really, big slightly naff looking but very competent and comfortable to ride that no one would be seen dead on (especially in the 90s/00s heyday of lightweight race reps).

I think that is on the corner of Lancaster Road in Shrewsbury, just up from whatever Pekins Engines is now called.

That is the weirdest hole in the exhaust i have ever seen, not at the bottom, not where a bracket is welded on, not where it joins, how did it rot through there?

All that aside, would totally buy that if i had money to burn on fuel

IIRC swap the cams and you have a gixxer 1100 but with a wider torque curve and a shed load more oomph

Oh aye, I remember that test centre.  Was also in Perkins quite a bit, two or three times a month probably.

This 'light recommission' seems to have basically just meant Wendolene Ramsbottom's chewing gum being applied to the bottom of the rear arches before they were touched in by Shaun the fucking sheep.

Oooh that is lovely. Are these the ones the Germans kept confiscating, crashing and dying in during the war?

In other news: The autoshite bus is comin', and everybody's jumpin'...

IIRC, W&G was an animation, no metal included.

@IronStar How much would this be worth in its home country?

Not sure anyone would want an RHD one. Floridas are worth square root of fuckall here - I paid a grand for mine, and I’m still fairly certain that I overpaid.
There’s a rustfree facelift with aircon and 1.6 TU5 engine available right now for 800.

I test drove one almost identical to that (but in better nick) about 20 years ago.  It actually drove quite nicely, but it needed a bit too much work for a test so I left it.  It was about 150 quid I think.

The high capacity didn't appear until about 1982, this did not leave Solihull looking like that. Why not just own up to the fact most grotty old series are bitzas by now?

Seen it a few times on Faceberk marketplace but I’ve resisted posting it on the basis that I wouldn’t willingly lead anyone into buying a car from that end of Lancaster Road.
