What does this mean:

"WHEELS HAVE BEEN BANDED"

Banded steels. A bit marmite, but I reckon they're as cool as penguin's piss.

Does this mean they are cut and welded to make them wider?

Yes, wheel cut around the circumference and new steel added.

Yup. Been going on since the 1960s I believe. Mk1 Escorts wear them well.

I want to like that, but the wheels/tyres are pretty shit and those floor mats are actually criminally offensive.

This class looking thing might make a decent recovery truck, but the bed type tells me it's probably been hauling heavy plant about. Still, it's only a grand.

Those are reversed rims ford fitted the centre in the opposite way round stone deeper part was to the outside. Banding is as above & goes further back probably to post ww2 in America on hotrodded model As 32s etc

Yeah, I'm aware of the process of banding - my old mk2 Golf VR6 conversion had a set fitted.

I never knew the sixties Fords were just reversed standard rims though. Every day's a school day.
