'Knowing she had some rust that needed doing for the potential new buyer I took it in for a test to find out exactly how good or bad it is. Surprisingly it wasn’t that bad and only requires a few patches to be done.'

  • Offside Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength outer sill several places (5.3.6 (a) (i))
  • Nearside Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength outer sill (5.3.6 (a) (i))
  • Offside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength floor (5.3.6 (a) (i))
  • Offside Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength inner sill/ flitch (5.3.6 (a) (i))
  • Front Inner Brake disc significantly and obviously worn (1.1.14 (a) (i))

  • under side of vehicle corroded

Just a few patches don’t sweat it, no big deal, drop him round your local Garage and they probably do it for free straight away just for the experience and enjoyment of working on an old car, they LOVE stuff like that

Couple of patches on my Corona cost me 800 quid done properly. I don't think people realize how hard it is to find someone doing a proper job, even ignoring the cost. Same story with paint.
