'Unfortunately my dad had an accident with a brick pillar'

I fancy putting a bin bag over the damage and driving it round Rhyl for a day or two  so UR MUM would have an 'accident' with my pillar.

I had a TS50ER followed by a TS125ER followed by a Z500 followed by an RD350LC.  If I were to want to re-live my youth, I'd be wanting a gamma. Which I never owned.

Exactly my point, you went on to have other bikes, lads that didnt (most lads post late 90's didnt have bikes as a right of passage like a lot did before) will never have rose tinted specs for anything as their 50 was basically, slow, restricted, shit

I came across a thread where cars forsale outside of the Uk were posted. I really cannot find it now. I usually add interesting AS threads to my browser bookmarks. I failed in this case.

So excuses for adding this Spanish advert here. I would love to have a look at this car with an idea of a purchase. Several things put me off.

One:British car which means hard for me to obtain spares. Import duty, postage and custom waiting times etc.

Two: It is a long way for me to go and see it. Over 1000km each way.

Yep the paint is not the best. But it says it has working airco.

That tyre was made in mid 1998 at best. Mid 1988 is also a possibility, but I’m not sure 60 section tyres were that common then.

Typical. I drove right by there back in August. I’m back home hundreds of miles away now.

IIRC, '60' sections mainly became a thing when the likes of the XR2/XR3/2.8 Capris were new, so mid-1980's no danger.

I was looking at the 3-digit DOT date code “248”, which is week 24 and either ‘88 or ‘98. I was driving around in a VW Beetle on 155 R15s in 1988, so exotica on “low profile” rubber was well outside my wheelhouse back then. 🤣

I'm sure that 1980's tyres 'originality' factor is going to mean everything as you power off straight into a ditch.

It’s a Capri, it will anyway regardless of tyre choice.
