I suspect because it's a kit, you could use other lights, I think they look too big on what otherwise is a lovely car. 

It's things like the need for a new bespoke softop that would put me off.

Having lived with a car with a leaky soft top (worse in this case as a replacement isn't easily available) I would strongly agree! Nothing like growing mushrooms in the carpet to put you off a car.......

This Mini has seen better days. The paint is peeling a bit, the interior is quite worn, it's 22 years old and I haven't looked after it very well.

I'd quite like to buy that along with a straight, original donor car, restore it to original and post the popping tat back through his letterbox.

I drove a 190-36 wagon and drag for about a year back in 1996. Great “working” wagon. I liked it very much, but the build quality was pretty shonky.

I liked it enough that in 2000 I bought a 190-38 V8 tractor unit from the company I was working for at the time…

 

 

…that cost £250 not £27.5K!

 

Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of the tractor unit. Just imagine the one on eBay but very rusty. 🤣

I had grand plans for it, and was hoping to pick up a good secondhand cab whilst working in Italy, but luckily for me, a mate of mine had a need for a yard shunter and offered me double what I’d paid for it so my ownership was uncharacteristically short and profitable. 🤣🤣
