£83000 in 1996, now worth less than £1k. If you’d had bought a house in the SE for that, it’ll be worth around £400k now.

My mate who's a committed Poxwagen fan reckons these are absolute shit. That must be some going as I bought his T25 off him a couple of years ago (yeah, I know) and that was horrible to drive.

True, but whoever bought this new probably already had a very nice house!

If you bought a house in the North West for that it would be worth £450k.

Distance for the MOT rule doesn't matter. There's no stipulation on that

It's quite near me and I'd be happy to help if you do want it

Thank you for the offer of help, to be honest it was the bald tyres, if the MOT hasn't expired I'd probably get away with it but if it has then I don't think I would due to there being a 'dangerous defect' (I bet being edge wear they shouldn't have even failed...)

The lack of reg number means I'm unable to check that. Although of course a quick phone call to the seller could answer this query, I know

I think the idea of it was just an intrusive thought of mine, I have some money burning a hole in my pocket, and the desire to have it, but not the time to do a clutch nor the space to keep it really. Realistically it's probably £250 or so for me to get it through an MOT and do the clutch myself and that's a pretty well sorted ZT for £700 thereabouts all in 🤔

I had an L reg Onion LX. Absolute fucking piece of shit, no redeeming features whatsoever.

I recall the LX seat and door card material to 'look' quite plush, like on my white 1992MY Escort 1.4 LX. But in reality, the seats always felt ice cold and very very hard. Was your Orion a 1.4 or 1.6?

Can thoroughly recommend these as a fun car, we have one in Daihatsu flavour as a courtesy car, and it's an absolute blast 😂 scary but fun.

I didn't realize how scarce they're getting, according to the reliable* how many left, there's only 37 Cuore's left on the road!

It's leggy, rusty, and smokes like a trooper but it keeps on going!
