'There is a leak of coolant /antifreeze in the front heater unit which is leaking into the driver's foot well , resulting in the carpet getting wet.  I have been aware of the coolent resevoir losing fluid on a gradual basis for a while but only just recently realised that the sweet smell in the car was a result of the antifreeze leak.  So, either the heater matrix heat exchanger is leaking or the connections to it may be leaking.
When the fan heater, ventilation  unit is operating  exhaust fumes are being drawn into the car interior.
In the summer with the fan off  the  fumes are  not really apparent.'

That roof scoop looks to be for an oil cooler.

On real Baja bug's it's usually to get air (hopefully with less sand) to the carbs & cooling fins of eng & oil cooler.

Doubt there's much risk of that being needed in our climate.

This Italia 90 Fiat Panda look's a decent buy at £900, even without the Football Wheel Trims. 

An having 'never' driven my Brother's 1989 750L Panda at full pelt, many years ago. I would definitely recommend one. 

Just made me listen to this for the first time since.....well probably Italia 90.

Also, MOT exempt, so give it a service, stick some plywood over the holes in the floor and press into use.  Bingo.

Bet it’s no worse than my 1967 one was back in the early 90s, and I dailied that.

With the exception of the illegal and daft looking blacked out tail lights (I still reckon Ford, Citroen, Fiat and Peugeot had the right idea - smoked for everything else but leave the red as red), I begrudgingly have to admit that I think that actually looks nicely done. 

Absolutely horrible to drive I don't doubt for a second, but it looks good.

That colt appeared on ebay about 3 or 4 years ago. Not dissimilar condition. I contacted the seller to say I had a brand new wing and a carb but never heard owt back. Looks like its deteriorated further.. I'm tempted to bid but just for parts on my Lancer...
