'it's been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned... I planned to have it forever''

To be fair, 15 minutes seems like forever in one of those fucking things.

For a mega potential liability car, the advert for that Merc is hopeless. They also have a VW G*lf and blocked pave driving. RLF.

It's in Dronfield, which for the uninitiated, is between Sheffield and Chesterfield. A sort of, we're posh and should really live in Dore or Totley (really posh areas of Sheffield), but actually cannot afford that, so we'll live in Derbyshire instead (apologies to anybody on here whio lives in Dronfield).

I'll have you know that when I got my 69 reg Iveco Daily work van stuck on some wet grass earlier, it only came up with 3 spurious warnings!

Check engine, check steering, and adblue fault. All because it was sitting there fruitlessly spinning its rear wheel.

...How the fuck is an adblue fault caused by it getting stuck on some grass?

It sat there helplessly, then just gave the fuck up. Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. BONG- error. BONG- error. BONG- error. It was tragic but also hilarious, like that security robot that threw itself into a fountain.

Totally* fucking reliable* motoring, those Iveco Dailys.

Speaking of 1.4 suitcase engines, this isn’t cheap but it’s bang tidy and I bet it’s bags (geddit?) of fun.

Goodness. I remember that car when it was still with its original owner, up until fairly recently; a barrister who used it as a city runabout. He had a Bentley Arnage for longer jaunts!

One day (after some more therapy) I'll bore you further with just some of the things that went wrong with the piles of wank I had to endure driving.

This E34 looks lovely and has a £1 start with no reserve. Claus Luthe’s finest hour, perhaps, and that’s saying something.

Shame its only a four-pot 518i, but at least it’s a manual.

Shared on here the other day, but a worthy pearoast.

I know 'all moderns look the same etc'. However, the back end of that Ascona really looks a rejigged Mk2 Cortina rump.

Or for £400 less than that AX GT you could have a twin turbo V12 with 500bhp.  What a time to be alive.

Seller has no feedback though.  Hmm.

The CL is the ultimate performance bargain/life wrecking liability.
