Just how did the family of Cresta, Victor, Ventora, VX4/90, Viscount etc all fit together as a model line up? Were GM really confused at the time or is it just me not getting it?

Cortina = Victor / VX 4/90

Granada = Cresta / Viscount

then

Sierra = Cavalier

Granada = Senator

Althugh having the Carlton and Cavalier in production at the same time was a bit odd, as they weren't that different in size, but Carlton was r/w/d

I recently bought a garage from an elderly gentleman who had been using it to store his Austin Maxi. The sale of the garage was conditional on me taking ownership of the Maxi which I am now keen to sell to make room for a classic sportscar.

What a waste of a garage. Bet his 'classic sportscar' is an MGB or something equally dreary.
