Gone, must've been a scammer

Suspiciously cheap for such a clean looking car. Think I may have been on the same page as @wesacosa with it being near ulez exemption.

given that there were a couple of red saloons recently for sub 4k that looked useable I didn't think it was an obvious scam especially as it has no MOT but guess it must have been , and yes that's exactly what I was thinking on the ULEZ front!

Odd to see a bench seat with a floor change, rather spoils things. Was floor change an option by then?

Floor change was standard on all FE models, but for some reason a bench seat was also standard on basic Victors for the first year.

Apparently a French market car. Looking at wiki, these Darts were built in Spain, so maybe one of those (hang on, which means the US was happy to do business with Franco? ah, yes because he was anti-communist....).

The Yanks didn't deal with Franco. They sold the tooling for the '65 Dart to the Argentinians who then sold to the Spanish. They were originally built by Barreiros then they were taken over by Chrysler Spain.  They were the biggest engined car the Spanish have ever built and are slightly different to the US Darts using some locally produced parts. They all had the leaning tower of power slant 6 with no V8's

Well it looks like an RS. These are upwards of £40,000+ restored. Would need to be done very carefully to retain as many original parts as possible.

Seems incredible*

* Oxford English Dictionary: Incredible

"Such as it is difficult to believe in the possibility of, or to realize; said esp. of a quantity, quality, number, etc., of a degree beyond what one would a priori have conceived as possible; inconceivable."

A bench seat on a1972 saloon car. Is that the last UK use? (there will be vans and lots of US cars continuing with that arrangement)

You could get one in a prefacelift 1.3/1.6 base/L MK3 cortina 4dr/estate

It was nice of them to continue the 1999 theme by using a digital camera from 1999 to photograph the car
