It's strumming my guitar for sure - I've stuck a cheeky low bid on there.
I'm not sure how well it will sell to the general public who may envision mechanical (LHM) madness though.
Talking about reserve prices - this was on reserve at £2750 @ Leominster last week (they'll tell you the reserve if you ring up in advance). Didn't sell. My wife says if the reserve drops to £2K I'm allowed to go bid so long as I get the welder prepped:

They don't rust, in my experience. Not sure I would pay 2k for a diesel one tho, and a base model DT at that.

750i. I would say low cost big liability but it's 17 years old now so Shirley a shiter. Anyway it's a moot point because seller wants £4000 for it in the Land of Trustworthy (Erdington).

What a grotesque steering wheel.

Absolutely love that colour on a Legacy! Pretty sure the seller is part of the owner's club too, so this will likely have been well cared for.

Isn't @jmsguzzi looking for one of these?

Very unlikely to need welding, I'd say. They're remarkably rust-resistant.

Highly underrated cars. A lot of people will tell you how they're badly made, but they're really not. They had some design flaws which are sorted now. Very robust cars really

I think one day the P38 will be known as a good car, but unfortunately not yet

I've a hankering after a late P38 to tick off my bucket list and I don't really want another V8 so the 6 pot diesel is a viable alternative to me.
This one has a bit of chassis that maybe needs plating or at least some TLC  (according to my spy who was there) and it also has the feel of maybe being a probate sale to me. So I don't think the reserve is going to drop and it will just keep cycling through the sales week in, week out.

Similar to this Volvo which is now on at least it's sixth run through - first time I saw it reserve was not met at around £1750, ten days ago it only reached £1350 and is now more or less being driven on the F/O/S rim as it needs some air - kind of tragic. You can pick one up for less than £2K elsewhere with the added attraction of being able to give it a test drive.

Less than 40K miles, star giffer convertible

If you are a careful driver and only drive this three wheeled electric contraption slowly you'll be fine

Imp engine, transaxle and even an Imp dash console - may even have other Rootes parts. Shows how desperate Rootes/Chrysler were to make something back on the Linwood investment if they'd supply a little outfit like Bond.

History of the whole set-up here:

https://www.bondownersclub.co.uk/bond-company-history

Interesting little vehicle - the missing back window could probably be formed again from perspex sheet without too much trouble and Imp parts are about. Looks great fun and peanuts to own and run. Probably dangerously fast too 😅.

Usual sad story of the company's demise.

3441 found buyers before Reliant pulled the plug. Superceded by the Bond Bug which was a Reliant designed vehicle.

This is ridiculously cheap for a Facelift.
I wonder if said belts have caused damage to the engine. I mean, you could replace them and the car would instantly be worth £2k more. They're very popular in the JDM scene.
We're considering these for my Missus Panda replacement (more, because she won't drive a bigger car and these are ridiculously sized inside and she wants a CVT slushbox for very little money)

I bet the belt just needs tensioned up properly. Even if they are the 'wrong' pulleys it'll most likely just ruin the belt itself, not the engine.

I also assumed there would be more photos in the advert!

Is this your part of the world? I think this could be a proper bargain. The engines on these go on and on and I don't remember seeing a rotten one.
Yeah, they look like a box and have the aerodynamics of a brick, but this is Autoshite and we do things differently here.

Eh. Fort William is a good couple of hours (at least) from here.

It takes forever to get there even from 5 miles away, though. The roads around that area are shite and absolutely clogged with camper vans except during winter.

My experience of Scotland is that nipping to the shops is 2 hours 🤣
I guess when they're not clogging up with Camper vans, it's clogged with snow?
