The car comes with a file full of history and old invoices including the original Renault invoices from the 1980's and one for the sale of the vehicle as a used car with a genuine Renault invoice for £4,850 including a 12 months warranty. As that invoice was May 1984, that warranty has now expired

Not boggo! Activ was a reasonably well equipped 'special' edition from the days of 'OMG how are we going to shift all these plain Jane D-segment cars'. It had climate control and some other stuff that I can't remember. 

I had a 1.8 Activ and it was Very Good. 

However I imagine the front subframe is pretty ripe on this one. 

 

With regards to NBZ, mine are:

Manchester

Liverpool

Most of Greater London

Weirdly I'd happily buy a car from Devon and Cornwall even though they're all hanging and have no paint left on the nearside thanks to hedge scraping.

Birmingham is my main NBZ. Every time I've arranged to look at a car in Brum, it's been a bomb-site driveway dealer in an area where a stab vest is required. Despite being advertised as private. Both times I turned around and left without knocking the door.
