Were those wheels an option on a 900?

Yep, they were.

Expensive, yes... but I think this is cool as. It's Autoshite, Commercialshite and even a bit of Railshite rolled into one!

Nice! And one of the best and most desirable early matchbox models. I'd love to park that in my road...

Apt number plate ‘OVL’ because that’s where it’s probably going...

Ah yes, I remember that being said when it first popped up here. Not too sure it would hold up well in the OVaL too much...

@Six-cylinderYou know you said you wanted to try a Detroit diesel?  Well here's your chance.

585bhp - bet that'd lap the FOD in about 30 seconds.

£2k? Am I reading that right? Christ

Yeah, no chance at that money I would have thought. But they are becoming very rare, and a lot of young folk seem to be into retro Japanese motors, which may be pushing up prices.

Another 2500 at decent money, I thought these were a lot dearer than this now.

Maybe just used to nice pre-80s classics being 10k+? Could be that people finally just realistically pricing their cars? Especially as we're in the winter market for classics now and will be the case for the next 3 to 4 months.

been off the road 10+ years

looks great* What is that ??

I'd rather buy a mk3 Astra that hasn't been off the road and in a field and has 150k on the clock.

Stand to be corrected, but I think that's a sign of (probably field) mice storing for the winter.

The definition of rust free seems generally not to include the truth these days.  Although to be fair it never did.

Doesn’t rust free mean that the rust is not at an additional cost?

As you say the description is usually misleading. Pretty car though and great colours.

Or squirrels

They also like to chew on/thru any wiring too.
