Enjoy/suffer the same rollercoaster of emotions I have this year by rescuing and restoring a car that's been laid up since forever.

Offers based on £500.  It's in Newmarket and I'd be honoured to film the "cold start" video for you in 1080p HD.

There's two of those festering ln a garden round the corner from me, I think one of them is an executive. (Along with two Jags, two Sierras & a Metrot)!

Didn't someone on here suggest the Jensen was being sold as the owner wasn't actually alive?

Wasn't me. I do know that a Jag quickly replaced the Jensen as a static ornament*, though...

That's top shiting if correct - buying and selling chod from beyond the grave is one hell of an achievement!

I doubt it's the same guy , it was 1974 when I first saw it parked up , unless he was 25-30 then which would make him 70-75 now

If he was 25 with an interceptor I doubt it'd be parked up even if petrol was expensive

But was the Jensen owner actually dead?

I just assumed as it's been there for almost 1/2 a century the owner had died and they'd cleared the house but he may still be alive , I bet it sold for peanuts though

That RX8 with the Charade diesel engine is awesome.

I seem to remember those 1l diesel engines were capable of 100mpg (according to an advert seen in What car? about 30 years ago)

Capris are going crazy at the moment, 3 years back that would have been a breaker and probably around £400.

imagine opening your garage door, and been greeted by this cheery little thing.

quiet what a pre-war car is like to actually drive, i have no idea, or for that matter what they are like for even the most common service parts, i bet there are very few available to buy off the shelf.

still, its a bonny little thing. nice isn't it?

the advertising strapline for these when new was "not the car for Mr Average"

nothing more eloquently proves this, than this picture.

a Princess in front, and a pisshat thing  behind...... and i know which vehicle i would want to own.

been an x that must be late for a Princess 2, and the twin lamps it must be a lowish model, i think its beautiful.
